Small Haul

I have picked up a few new products from the store over the last few weeks and wanted to share them with you.

First up are 2 trios from L.A. Colors, I actually found these at a Dollar Tree! I picked one up in Grassy Knoll and one in Sand Dune! They both are really great little trios. They seem to be very pigmented and are long lasting. Can't beat that for a buck!

I also picked up a couple of the NYC Liquid Lipshines! I got one of these in my Holiday VoxBox from Influenster and I LOVE them!! I looked at my local Walmart and could not find them. So I was out shopping at my local Family Dollar and found a few colors there. They were $2.00 each. I got one in Prospect Pink and one in Brighton Beach Peach.

NYC Liquid Lip Shine

In my holiday voxbox, that I received from Influenster, I got a NYC Liquid Lip Shine in the color Nude York City, it has quickly become one of my favorite lip glosses! It has definitely been the one that I have reached for the most since I got it. It is a really great nude lip gloss! It is super shiny and not sticky at all. It feels very soft and light on your lips.

The Lip Shines also contain vitamin E, which is a great moisturizer for your skin. The NYC Lip Shines are very affordable, as most of their make up is. They are only $2.49! The come in in 10 shades from nudes to berries. This is a product that I will be purchasing more of!

To find out more about the NYC brand you can visit their website: http://www.newyorkcolor.com/

Have you tried one of the NYC Liquid Lip Shines? If so what color and what did you think about it?

Follow Up Review on the imPRESS Press on Manicure

These nails are AMAZING! Since these nails are 'flexible' you can not tell that you even have nails on! With other false nails they are hard and you can tell that you have them on. Also with the imPRESS nails you don't have to use glue, so I feel like they are better for your nails. I was able to literally peel these nails off in seconds, something that you absolutely can not do with other nails. When I pulled these off it did not harm my nails at all! Usually when I wear fake nails and I take them off my nails get stripped and are soft and weak for weeks afterwards, but not with these! I had them on for a week and I feel like they would have lasted even longer, but I wanted to paint my nails red for the Holidays, so I peeled them off.

I would definitely recommend these nails to any girls that want to wear fake nails. I give the imPRESS press on manicure a 10 for sure!

Review: Montagne Jeunesse

So I tried out my pomegranate and mango Montagne Jeunesse mask, that I received from Influenster, the other day. First of all I was really bummed that it was not as thick as it looked on the photo on the package. I thought the consistency would be more thick, clay like, but it was really thin, so that was a little disappointing. After I took the mask off  my skin did feel super smooth. The mask smelled amazing. It was, however a pain to get off, literally, it pulled at all the little hairs :/ I'm wondering if my face should have been left wet before I put the mask on.

So overall I would say that this is a pretty good product. I do wish that it had been a thicker mask.

imPRESS Press On Manicure -- First thoughts mini review

Today I tried out my imPRESS nails that I received in my Holiday VoxBox from Influenster and I just wanted to share my first thoughts on the product.

I think the thing that took the longest during the whole process was finding the right size nails to fit my nails. I don't feel like any two of the nails were the same size, so that made it hard to find the right fit. The actually application process was super easy! First I started off my wiping my nails off with the enclosed prep pad, which is basically just an alcohol wipe. To apply the nails all I had to do was peel the plastic sheeting off of the 'glue' on the nail. Then simply press the nail firmly to your nail.

So Pros and Cons of the imPRESS nails.
Pros, super easy to apply, I also like that they are not made out of hard plastic like most other fake nails are. These feel more natural. You don't have to deal with using glue and getting your fingers glued together LOL. I also think that since you don't have to use nail glue, that these nails would be a little bit better for you nails, not so harsh on them.
Cons, I had a hard time finding nails that were a good fit for my nails.

The box says that they will last up to a week, if applied properly. So we shall see.

Thanksgiving Weekend Haul Swatches

Here are the polish swatches from the polishes I got over Thanksgiving weekend.

So first up is the Color Expression Wet 'N Wild Set I got from CVS! I think all of the polishes in this set are just beautiful! I love the names of the polishes too, very clever :)

Next up are the Sinful Colors, NYC, and Confetti polishes that I got! Loving the Winterberry for the winter. And the Starry Silver looks great over the Silver polish from the Color Expression set!

Last but not least are the polishes from the Wet 'N Wild Little Luxuries set I picked up from RiteAid. I did not swatch all of them because I ran out of room LOL.

Winner Mail!

Over Thanksgiving I entered a contest that KISS was hosting on their Facebook page and I won a 2nd place prize pack!! I was super excited that I had won. So I received my prize pack the other day and was beyond excited about the goodies that I got!

I got a few coupons for KISS products, a brush on lip gloss (which I LOVE because it has menthol in it and I love a minty lip product!), False lashes and adhesive  ever lasting french tip nails, rhinestone nail art, eye liner and mascara!

And to be honest I did not even know that KISS made make up products! I thought they were just nails!!

So thanks so much to KISS! I will be trying out all these products and will be giving you  reviews on them.

Influenster Vox Box #1

So I found this really cool website called Influenster! They give you the opportunity to try out new products for FREE, in return all you have to do is use the products and tell people about them.

I got my first box of products earlier this week. They call these boxes Vox Boxes. My vox box consisted of a Gillette Venus Pro Skin Razor with 2 Refills, a bottle of VitaBath Shower Gel, and a 30 day supply of the ProActive System.

I'm really excited to try out the razor and the shower gel, but I'm not sure I will be using the ProActive. I don't have acne prone skin so not sure that I really need to be using that on my skin.

I'll write up a review after I have used these products for a little while :)

Burt's Bees Update

Okay so I have been using a couple of products from the sensitive line from Burt's Bees and I have to say I have enjoyed it! The Cleanser is so creamy! I like to use it when I'm in the shower, cause if I try to splash my face with water and rinse it off that way I tend to make a huge mess LOL. The moisturizer is great too! It absorbs in to your skin fairly quick and leaves you skin feeling so soft and smooth. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the moisturizer does not have SPF.

Target Beauty Bag

The other day I recived my FREE Beauty Bag from Target! It was full of great goodies (see pic below).

It came in this adorable little cosmetic pouch. The pouch contained a coupon book with $20 worth of savings, a sample  of L'oreal Youth Code, a sample of John Freida Full Repair shampoo and conditioner, a sample of Garnier Fructis Pure Clean shampoo and conditioner, a sample of Tresemme Naturals shampoo and conditioner, a sample of Burt's Bees Radiance daily moisturizer, and a sample pack of Pond's Evening Soothe wet cleansing cloths.

So far I have only tried out the Pond's cloths and I absolutely love them! They remove all your make-up and smell great!

Burt's Bees

I am getting the opportunity to try out some new products from Burt's Bees by being a Buzz Agent! YAY! :)

So the 2 products that I am trying out are from the new sensitive skin line. I am trying out the facial cleanser and the daily moisturizing cream.

This post is just going to be a little info on each product and my initial thoughts about the products. Once I have used them for a while I will do a full review follow up post.

The products from the sensitive line contain 99% natural ingredients, such as cotton, rice and aloe. They are formulated to cleanse and moisturize sensitive skin without causing redness or irritation.

The facial cleanser is a soap-free cleaner and is clinically proven to moisturize while gently cleansing away dirt, oil and makeup. Retail cost is $9.99 for a 6 oz. bottle.

The daily moisturizer contains rice extract to moisturize and aloe to soothe. It is non-comedogenic, which means it won't clog your pores. Retail cost is $14.99 for a 1.8 oz. bottle.

The great thing about these products containing cotton extract is that it helps to moisturize the skin, while increasing the softness and suppleness of skin. It improves the skins barrier function and helps to maintain the skin's naturals moisture. Cotton extract also helps to even out skin tone.

My opinion on the facial cleanser is that it's okay. I'm used to using a cleanser where I can massage it on to my face then remove it with a wet cloth. The Burt's Bees cleanser is different, you will need to wet your face the apply the cleanser then rinse it off with water. I have used this a couple of times and I can't seem to remove all of my make up with this cleanser. I will continue to use it and see if my opinion of it changes.

I really enjoy the moisturizing cream. It comes in a really cute pump bottle. I feel that it is really excellent at moisturizing my skin. The only con that I can think of is that it does not contain SPF, which is something I like for my facial moisturizer to have.

The scent of these products is quite nice too. It has a really clean scent.

I will continue to use the products, and like I said before, give a full final review later on. If you have any questions about these products that I did not cover feel free to leave a comment down below.

You can find Burt's Bees on Facebook.
If you are interested in receiving free products to try check out the Buzz Agent website.

CVS Haul

I had heard that CVS was having another one of their great 50-75% off sales, so I stopped by my local CVS and picked up a few things!
The first 3 items were not part of the 50-75% off sale.

Wet n wild Creme Liner $3.99 -- I have never used a creme liner before so we'll see how this goes LOL

Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat $7.39 (should have been $4.99) -- I don't like this for 3 reasons: 1 I was charged to much for it, there was a display that said it was $4.99, but I didn't notice how much I had been charged for it till after I had already left the store.

China Glaze Crackle Nail Polish

I am LOVING my China Glaze Crackle polish! I think that it is one of the coolest beauty products that I have ever found. I really like this polish because it gives your nails such a unique look. All of your nails will have a different look, no 2 alike. You can buy this polish from Sally's Beauty Supply. This polish comes in 6 colors: Crushed Candy (blue/teal), Cracked Concrete (gray), Lightening Bolt (white), Black Mesh (black), Broken Hearted (hot pink/magenta), Fault Line (purple). The cost of these polishes is $5.99 each.

The two most important things to remember when using this product is to work fast and use thin layers. Thick layers of the polish do not seem to 'crackle' well. Also if you try to paint over the crackle polish it will not 'crackle' again. Also make sure that the crackle polish is completely dry before you apply your top coat.

Here is a picture of the polish:

Here are a few swatches using the crackle polish! Left to Right: On the first nail I used a few different colors to achieve a rainbow effect. Next I used a blue color from L.A Colors. I also used white and Celeb City from Sally Hansen.

ELF Mineral Shadows

I LOVE these shadows! They have very good pigmentation, long wearing, don’t crease and are shimmery! I feel like a little bit of these shadows go a long way! Well worth the money!
Colors from top to bottom:
Angelic, Sweet, Smoldering, Earthy, Elegant, Caffeinated, Socialite.
You can find all these shadows at E.L.F under the Mineral category!

Review on The One Sweep Eye Shadow

I honestly do not like this product. I can see the point behind it, which is to be able to get your lid color, crease color and highlight on at one time, using only one brush, in this case a specially shaped applicator.
I tried using this product several times. The first time I only got product on my lid. The next few times I used it I got all three areas; lid, crease and highlight, but I wanted the colors to be a little darker and tried to go back over it and totally messed up what I had already done.
I don’t think that you can make a specially shaped applicator to fit everyone’s eyes. We all have differently shaped and sized eyes, so I just don’t see how it could possibly work the way it was designed to.
I did find 2 pros for this product; it has great color choices and the pigmentation is awesome!
I will continue to use this eye shadow, but I will use my own brushes with it.

ELF Cosmetics (Lips)

I wanted to continue with  my E.L.F series and tell you about the lip products. They have two main lines, essentials and studio. The items from the essentials line only cost $1.00, yep that’s right a buck! The items from the studio line cost $3.00. They offer a wide variety of products on their website. You can also find E.L.F products at select K-mart, Target, Big Lots, and Dollar Stores.
Like the eye products, most of the lip products that I bought came from the essentials line. I will list my favorite products that I have.
First up the $1.00 line lipsticks. I have one in Gypsy and one in Seductress. I was really impressed with the quality of these lipsticks for them to only cost $1. They are very pigmented and glide on smoothly.

Amazing NYX Deal!

So my husband and I were out shopping the other day at a store called Fred’s and I was looking through a clearance bin and found some NYX lipsticks they had marked down to $1.70. I decided not to get them and regretted it so I went back to today to see if they had any left and they did. When I got ready to pay the cashier told me I owed her a penny! I asked her are you serious LOL so what an AMAZING deal!!! When I got home I was wishing I had of got some more, so I decided to go back LOL I found 2 more lipsticks ($.01 each) and an eye shadow ($.50).

Here is my receipt LOL

NYX Glitter Cream Palette

Okay so when I first got the NYX Glitter Cream Palette I was very skeptical about it. To me it felt very dry and I had no clue what I was going to do with it, so I looked up some videos on YouTube to see if I could find any good suggestions.
After watching some reviews on the palette I decided I would go play around with it a bit. I found out that they are really cream, you just got to dig deep LOL! I also found out that it is best to use the sponge tip applicator to apply the product by just patting in on your eye lid. I did experience some fallout, SJ2008 from YouTube gave me a good suggestion about just using tape to remove the fallout glitter from my face!  I used some bronze and brown color eye shadows and then applied the bronze looking glitter.
I still don’t thing I  really care too much for the NYX Glitter Cream Palette for everyday use, but maybe just to use ever once in a while. Here is the outcome that I had!

Cherry Culture Haul

I've been hearing a lot about a website called Cherry Culture, so I thought I would check it out. It’s a website that sells beauty products. I made a purchase about a week and a half ago and got my products the other day. I have only used a few of the products so I can’t really offer any reviews at the moment, but will review them after I have used them for a bit. Here is what I got:
Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish - Left to right: Glasss Pink, Dancing Nails, Tahiti Breeze, Mama-San
