Y'all know I love inexpensive polishes and one of the best brands I have found is Pure Ice. They have a wide variety of colors and for under $2 you can not go wrong! I was lucky enough to get three PR Samples of Pure Ice First Love, Deja Vu and Jack Pot.

Deja Vu is my favorite from the three, it is a gorgeous blue/purple, duochromy glittery goodness! On the nails it shows up a very vibrant royal blue, with a hint of purple and so full of glitter.

Is that not gorgeous?!?!?!? Wear time on this has been pretty good too, it would have been even better if I had took the time to wrap my nails. In all the swatches above I applied 2 coats which made the polish very opaque. Application was a breeze, went on very smoothly and dried rather quickly, by the time I was done with my second hand, my first hand was ready for it's second coat.

I do have to say this polish is even prettier in person, so if you can find it, grab it, you will not regret it! It's so pretty I just can't stop looking at my nails!

I am loving those two Bleached Neons I was able to find at Big Lots, I still really wish I could have found the rest of them! Today I have Lime Accent for you, it's neon, it's lime green and it looks as though it's been bleached.

I started out with one coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White, just to make it pop a little more, I followed that up with two coats of Lime Accent. It went on very smoothly, but it did seem to take a while to dry, so much in fact that I put a quick drying top coat over it just to speed up the process. After that dried I stamped a cool looking design on it, using stamping plate BP-50 from Born Pretty Store, and added another coat of my quick drying top coat.

I really love the way this came out, the black and lime go well together!
Checking another number off the #SBBNailChallenge with this mani, number 46 Favorite nail art technique! Stamping is by far my favorite thing to do to my nails and it's so easy anyone can master this technique with a little practice.

As you know I am trying to chip away at this massive pile of untried nail polish, so today I have not one but two colors for you!

Today I have two polishes from Broadway Nails, Sour Apple and Easter Annie. Both of these are cream polishes and a little on the thick side, once I seen how thick they were I opted to do a gradient mani and they worked amazingly well for that.

I started off by getting one of the wedge shaped makeup sponges and letting water run over it then squeezing it out, this helps to not have to use so much nail polish. I set my sponge to the side and painted all my nails with Avon Iceberg, a white nail polish. Once that dried I began working on my gradient, I did them all the same way with the exception of my ring fingers, I flipped the colors just to change it up a bit ;) I topped everything off with some Salon Perfect Cosmic Dust, which my camera refuses to take a good photo of. I can not for the life of me get a good shot of all the sparkle that it contains!

I really love the way this came out, I even had a little old lady comment on them saying "look what beautiful nails"!

I get to work the day shift on Saturday and have Sunday off so I will chip away at this pile a little more over the weekend!

I'm back with Orchid's Funky Monkey! I'm kinda on the fence with this one, it's a really pretty color; sheer light brown base with redish/orange/brown glitter. It goes on smoothly and dries in a decent amount of time, but oh is it sheer! In the swatches below I applied 3 medium-ish coats and you can still see my nail, not just the nail line, but the whole nail.

In the next photo I put a coat of Funky Monkey over Avon's Mudslide, a medium dark muddy looking brown cream polish. I like the effect that Funky Monkey gave to Mudslide, make it look like a completely different polish.

So in my opinion a good polish for the most part, just super sheer and will most likely be layered over another polish any time I use it. I'm wondering if their cream polishes would be any better. I've looked for Orchid online in the form of a Google search and also looked for it on Amazon, but there is little to be found.

Friday I hope to be back with 2 more untried polishes to show y'all!
Today I'm am getting started on my big pile of un-tired polishes with Bleached in Peach!

Bleached in Peach is one of the Bleached Neons from Maybelline, I really love this color and the name is very accurate, a very washed out peachy color. I wanted to to a leopard print mani but it did not turn out quite like I would have liked it too. I started with 3 coats of Bleached in Peach, first two were rather streaky and I still ended up with some streaky looking sections. Then I grabbed my dotting tools and made a few black 'dots' and went around them with some silver. I think it might have looked better if I added more dots.

Also my photo did not capture the true color of this polish. In person it's more peachy less orange LOL

For this to be a neon polish it faired better than most neons do with me. I was able to get about 3 days out of it before it chipped. Most neons chip on me the first day or two.

Up next on my list of un-tried polishes, Funky Monkey from Orchid!
Today I have a fun and easy nail look for you!

I used the Kiss Nail Guides that I hauled the other day, Fing'rs nail polish in the shade Don't Even Pink About it, Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Cosmic Dust from Salon Perfect.

I started out with painting two coats of Snow Me White on my ring fingers and applying two coats of Don't Even Pink About It on all my other fingers. The first coat of DEPAI was really streaky, but applying a second coat evened everything out nicely. Once my coats of Snow Me White were dry I applied 2 of the smaller chevron guides to each of my ring fingers, then applied one coat of Don't Even Pink About It. I did not wait for that to dry before I peeled the guides off, everything went smoothly, no peeling of the paint or messing up the crisp lines. Once all those coats of polish were dry, I applied a coat of Cosmic Dust.

For those that have not heard of Cosmic Dust, it is a 100% Dupe for China Glaze's Fairy Dust! Here is a slightly out of focus shot to try to show the sparkle off some.

I really like the way this came out even though I dinged up my ring finger, it's simple yet really cute. Of course it being a neon it did chip pretty bad on my third day of wearing it, but I can live with that ;) Another interesting thing about this polish, even though it is neon, it does not dry 100% matte, it's more of a semi-matte.

Yay! Now I can check off #36 Pink from the #SBBNailChallenge

Since I've been working I've been able to splurge a little more on random nail polishes more often, so today I have a nice little collective haul for y'all!

We'll start off with some polishes that I bought from Beauty By Krystal's Blog Sale. I seen she had Essence polishes on there so I snagged some of them up quickly, since I can not find them in my area. I got Aquatix Bay, Under the Sea, A Lovely Secret, Enchanted Fairy and Can't Cheat on me. I'd never heard of Orchid polish so I grabbed the one that caught my eye, Funky Monkey. The last two I got were both from Sinful Colors, Petal Be The Day and Prized Plume.

I picked up a few polishes from work too, 2 Broadway Nails regular polishes; Easter Annie and Sour Apple. Also picked up another one of the Gel Strong polishes for 'testing' purposes ;) in the color Where's Nemo.

At work we got a display for the Wet N Wild 2015 Silver Lake collection, but I don't think that the correct products are in it, because the polish I picked out of it, Bubblegum Pop appears to have been around for a while. In any case it's still pretty and I will wear it proudly. Found this Sinful Colors polish at Big Lots, it's Love Sprinkles, way to cute to pass up!

Also at Big Lots I finally found two of the Bleached Neons from Maybelline, Lime Accent and Bleached in Peach! I wish I could have found the rest of the set, but I'm happy with the 2 I was able to add to my collection.

I also did a little China Glaze shopping on Amazon, always find great polish deals on there! I got Hang-Ten toes, Beach Cruise-r, Ahoy and Flirty Tankini. I got all these for about $4.50 each, not a bad deal! Of course these are not true to color since they are pink toned and neon for the most part.

I can not remember if I have hauled these or not, but they are from Avon's Electric Shades collection for 2015; Hottie, Suacy, Reckless and Vibe. If these cooperate, they would make a beautiful water marble!

Found these cool Nail Edge Guides from Kiss and pump bottle at Walmart! I want to get another one of these to put regular nail polish remover in, so I'll quit using so much pure acetone on my nails.

Needless to say my untried pile is full again! Is there any polishes that y'all would like to see more than others? If so let me know and I'll move them up!

Hopefully I'll be back in the next day or so with a nail look using the Kiss Nail Guides ;)
Nail wraps, stickers, decals, whatever you want to call them are such an easy way to achieve an awesome looking mani, that looks like it took forever to do, in just a matter of minutes! I love using these types of products when I don't have time to actually paint my nails, these I can just stick on and go.

When I saw these on the Born Pretty Store's website, I had to have them, they are very cool and different looking in my opinion. They are the Shimmering Powder Color Changing Full Nail Sticker. These come in 8 different colors, I chose style M149. I love how inexpensive these are too, only $2.88 each, plus you can save an extra 10% by using code: SMBW10

I found these to be very easy to work with, just like any other nail wrap, you simply peel it off the paper, stick it to your nail and file off the excess. Since my nails were not long enough to get the full gradient effect from the wraps, I chose to alternate them by flipping them around. I think it looks really good. They also last a good while, I applied mine on a Saturday and wore them till Thursday and I only have minimal tip wear. I did apply a clear top coat and that may have helped them to last as long as they have. I feel like I could have wore them for a several more days, I just wanted a change LOL, I would get these again!
Today I have another great product from the Born Pretty Store to share with you! It's their creative french tip nail guides, these come in two styles and they are only $1.58 each. I chose style #2

I do not have nails that are quite long enough to do french manicures with, so I decided I would use these in the same manner I would striping tape.

I used China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes for my base color, applied the french tip sticker and painted over all that with a black cream. I liked the way it came out and I love the bright pink with the black, one of my favorite color combinations!

These nail guides are super sticky so you have to be 100% sure that your nail polish is completely dry before applying them or you will pull your polish off. For me these worked really well, I did not have any areas where the polish seeped under the guide and as long as my polish was completely dry they did not pull my polish off.

Another super quick post! Today is my day off and they Hubby and I are planning on going out to do a little shopping :) Hope you all are having a fantastic day! Don't forget you can save 10% off your entire order from Born Pretty Store by using code: SMBW10Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07012200212134895832noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-528399900227801686.post-38801950106434812122015-04-20T15:39:00.000-04:002015-04-20T15:39:52.575-04:00Update: Broadway Nails Gel Strong Ultra VioletI'm a few days late on getting this up, but I did want to update y'all on the wear time of the Broadway Nails Gel Strong Polish.

I applied this polish on the 14th and I took this photo on the 18th. So about 5 days of wear, I'm thinking not too bad, because usually after about 2 days my nails are chipped bad. This only chipped in the areas where my nails were peeling, mostly on my thumb, other than that I only got tip wear for the most part.

Very happy with the wear time on this polish, but still kinda bummed about the drying time. I do think I will try another color and see if the drying time is any different with it.

Super short post, going to go enjoy the rest of my day off :)

I missed my Monday posting this week, oops, it was my day off and I spent it running errands and cleaning house. So I'm here with a Tuesday post! Today I'm showing y'all a new to me nail polish, I spotted these at work and I had to give them a try, it's Broadway Nails Gel Strong in Ultra Violet. I think this color could have been named something else because it is definitely not ultra violet, more like Loving Lilac or something to that effect.

Fairly inexpensive polish, $2, went on smoothly, but dried super slow. I should have used 3 coats, but after sitting and waiting about 20 minutes for the first two coats to dry, I was over it. The color is very pretty, as I mentioned above it is a lilac color with pinkish/gold shimmer.

Today's post is going to be short and sweet, I've got a migraine and I have to work this afternoon. Today I have China Glaze Flirty Tankini from the Summer 2012 Neons Collection.

I am in love with this color and it would look fabulous on any one that has a tan. Beautiful neon coral with a little bit of shimmer, you really have to look for it. I added a very thin coat of Salon Perfects Cosmic Dust to give it a little more shimmer, however my camera did not want to work well with picking up the amazing shimmery glittery goodness that Cosmic Dust offers. Also in person this polish is so much brighter. More like the last photo ;)

Hi Y'all! So I've missed a few days of blogging, I've been working 5 days a week and I had Monday off so I left straight from work Sunday night and drove 2 hours to spend Monday with my family then drove back home that afternoon and headed back to work on Tuesday! I'm off today though and I want to share a new polish with you!

Towards the end of last month Lizzy, from Lizzy's Place, blogged about Color Club's Bell Bottom Babe and when I seen it, I had to have it and I was able to find it on Amazon. It has to be one of the prettiest polishes I've seen in a while. It is a shade of blue with a ton of pink/fuchsia/magenta iridescent shimmer!

Please do not pay attention to my cuticles, work has been rough on them LOL.

Isn't she just gorgeous?!?!?!?! Both swatches are 3 coats of Bell Bottom Babe with no undies, I could have probably gotten away with 2 coats, but 3 looks a lot better. Bell Bottom Babe is from the Poptastic Collection.

Friday I plan on being back with a China Glaze polish, not sure which one as I've ordered 5 from Amazon and 3 of them have already arrived. I'm thinking possibly Flirty Tankini ;)

Happy first day of April, I swear I feel like March just began and now it's gone! Anywho, today I have a springy nail look for you using Thimbleberry from Sinful Colors and some stamping plates from Born Pretty Store.

Let's take a closer look at the products I used; As mentioned above Thimbleberry from Sinful Colors, Black Heart from Sally Hansen, Iceberg from Avon's Gel Finish line, Born Pretty stamping plate BP-54, how cute are those little owls, and BP-50 I originally chose this plate because I really liked the heart pattern. You'll see below I used neither one of those images for this nail look.

When I was deciding what image(s) I wanted to use from these plates the flower in the center of BP-54 kept jumping out at me so I went with that one and attempted to make decals out of it. It worked really well, it was just very time consuming and the decal ended up being to big for my ring finger, but worked perfectly on my thumb. Next time I know to use a smaller image for decals! Once I got my flower decals made I found myself being drawn to the BP-50 plate by the leafy image on the top left, I thought leaves would tie in good with flowers, so I just went for it.

I'm quite please with the way it all came out, even the little hiccup I had with the decal being to big for my finger. I had thought about adding some Salon Perfect Cosmic Dust, but I didn't want to go overboard LOL

Have you ever made homemade decals from nail stamping plates?

The plates I used in this nail look are currently $2.99 on Born Pretty's website, you can save an additional 10% by using coupon code: SMBW10

Update on my job, I'm still loving it! It's more responsibility than I've ever had at a job and I was just kinda thrown into it. The last person that held that position said it took them 3 months before they were closing the store on their own, and I've only been there just a little over a week and was left to close the store on my own last night. I didn't have any major issues, so I'm gonna say it went pretty well ;) It helps to have such nice and helpful co-workers though!

Hope you all enjoy your day! Hope you are having some great spring weather!

Today I have a very short post on Mirrorball from Orly, a stunning silver/gray holographic polish with little bits of holographic glitter! In my swatch below I applied three coats to get it to an opacity that I was happy with, this polish has a great formula and dried quickly so three coats was not a huge deal.

I do however wish that the sun would have been more cooperative with me so I could have captured all the holographic goodness, but it just did not want to show it's self during the times it was convenient for me to take photos, so all the photos were took inside in front of a window.

Wear time on this was okay, I applied it on Wednesday and had a few chips by Friday, not huge chips but still chips LOL I still really like it though, it's just too pretty not to like!

I hope you all had a great weekend and I'll see you again on Wednesday, not sure what I'll have up yet.
A few weeks ago I received the Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes from iFabbo to test out, in short I don't like them.

The PreCleanse Oil and Wipes are supposed to allow you to achieve clean and healthy skin with the DoubleCleanse regimen, which to me means you are going to have to use two products to clean your face. The wipes are biodegradable and are supposed to melt way layers of excess sebum, sunscreen, waterproof makeup, pollutants and other products. Both the wipes and the oil are formulated with skin softening aloe and apricot oils, condition rice brand and Vitamin E, without artificial fragrances, colors or parabens. Both products are also safe to use around the eye area to remove waterproof makeup. Some benefits of these products are that they remove oils without clogging pores, conditioning fatty acids nourish skin and enables your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to work more efficiently.

To use the wipes you wipe it over your face and eyes to dissolve surface dirt and oil. Add water if you wish to create a milky emulsion and rinse with lukewarm water, the follow up with your prescribed Dermalogica cleanser for professional cleansing results.

For the oil you dispense oil into dry hands, massage over dry face and eyes to dissolve oil and dirt, wet hands and continue massaging to create a milky emulsion. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with prescribed Dermalogica cleanser for professional cleansing results.

For me both these products have an odd smell, at first you can smell sort of a citrusy scent, then once I began applying the products to my skin, they began to smell like some kind of chemicals, reminded me of kerosene. I also don't like having to use two cleansing products on my face, I would rather use one cleanser, a toner and some moisturizer.

I did not like these products at all as I stated above, the smell was bad, I didn't feel like it cleanse my face that well and they caused me to break out, and I almost never have breakouts. Once my face broke out I discontinued using these products, since I knew for sure they were the culprit.

I know everyone's skin is different and just because I had a bad experience with these, does not mean everyone will, but with that being said, this is not a product I would not recommend.

Have you tired any of the Dermalogica products? Did you have good or bad results?

Back in October I highlighted my hair and had it touched up in January (I think), well when I touched it up, I just bought the Petite kit instead of the full size that I used the first time. I assumed they would be the same, just less product to put on your hair, I was way wrong! I was right about there being less product to put on your hair, but also missing from the petite kit was the toning rinse and the bag to place over your head after you have applied the bleach. To me these are two of the most important things to have when bleaching dark colored hair. Needless to say this did not work well at all, you could not even tell that I had touched them up, so I waited till earlier this month and went to touch them up again, this time I bought the full size kit. I sat for a very long time letting my sister pull my strands through the cap and applying the product, I then went to rinse the bleach out of my hair and applied the toner. Once that was all done I pulled my hair up in to a ponytail and went to get some takeout, came home ate and then I was gonna flatiron my hair. When I took it down I nearly had a heart attack, it was 100% blonde! I did not get all the bleach out of my hair when I rinsed it, so it was still bleaching. It some places it was bleached so much that it was white, it was bad!! I feel like it wouldn't have looks so bad if I didn't have such dark roots, but in any case I could not live with my hair that blonde.

I had to end up going to Sally's Beauty and getting some protein filler and then to Walmart for some hair dye to make me look halfway normal again. For my hair color I got Revlon Color Silk in the shade Light Golden Brown, with this I was able to get it to a very light shade of brown. I was very happy with the shade that it turned my hair.

Then in the last few days I had noticed that it was starting to look very un-natural, so I on a whim decided to color it again. This time I went with Revlon Color Silk in the shade Medium Rich Brown. How funny is it that I'm wearing the same shirt in my before and afters LOL
I really liked this hair dye both times that I've used it and it is super affordable $2.97 It is a permanent dye and has 100% gray coverage. I know when I bleached my hair then recolored it the first time it felt very unhealthy and I was a little concerned about coloring it this last time, but since I have colored it, it feels so much healthier, super soft and shiny!

I do think now I will give my hair a break for a while, I really want to redo the hightlights, but I think I'll wait a while on it and give my hair time to rest.

Have you ever went to color your hair and the outcome be something totally different than you expected? Tell me about it in the comments!

Where is this year going? I can't believe it is already March! Today I wanted to share a nail polish haul with y'all and an update as well.

My polish haul is a collective one from the past month or so, so let's start with that ;)

First up I finally found the NYC Strip Me Off base coat, I picked two of these up, but conveniently lost one last week when I went out of town. I also picked up a few Sinful Colors polishes, Ring the Belini, which I posted about already, Zest of Times (Rite Aid) and Thimbleberry (Big Lots). I purchased one of the new polishes from Avon, Reckless, I swatched it and based off the swatch I was not too thrilled with the formula but will give it another try. Lastly in this photo I picked up December to Remember from China Glaze while Sally's was having their additional 50% off Clearance sale. I have used this polish and really loved it, such a beautiful shade of blue with light pink reflects!

Found a couple more polishes at Sally's! Orly Steal the Spotlight and Finger Paints In the Monet. Lastly I found some polishes that I've wanted since they came out, but didn't want to pay what the stores were asking for them, but luckily for me Big Lots had some of them the last couple of times I was there! I'm talking about the Revlon Parfumerie polishes, I picked up Lavender Soap, Wintermint, African Tea Rose and Apricot Nectar. I could not get over how good African Tea Rose smelt, I was quite amazed that once the polish was on my nails and fully dry, that it did not smell like nail polish at all! The scent was noticeable for the next few days, but only when I had my hands near my nose and it was not an over powering smell. I hope the other three smell just as good!

And now for my update; I finally found a job, Thank God!! It is a retail setting so it's already going much better than the job I found last year. I'm still trying to work out a blogging schedule that will fit in with my job schedule as well as my Avon schedule and everything else that I need/want to do. Right now I'm thinking about posting on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. I should have 2 days off each week that will allow me to get posts wrote and then I can schedule them to post. I think once I get a new routine set things will fall in to place :)

I've also reached a goal on my blog, today's post is post number 500!

Hope you all enjoy your Monday!

I seen a swatch of Ring the Belini on Instagram and I just had to have it, luckily I was able to find it at a Rite Aid when I was out of town visiting with family.

Ring the Belini is from Sinful Colors Citrus Twist collection and was designed as a special top coat, but I found that it can be wore alone. It is a beautiful orange jelly with bits of orange glitters, sometimes these glitters, to me, give off a fuchsia color. In my first swatch below I only have on Ring the Belini, I applied 3 thick-ish coats. If you don't like seeing VNL (visible nail line) you may not want to wear this alone, as you can see in my swatch you can see my staining from Julep's Marion.

In this next swatch I used 2 coats of Sinful colors Clementine as my base then added one coat of Ring the Belini. I would wear this polish alone or on top of another color. I don't know how it would work over other colors, like black, but I will be testing it out over other colors.

I also picked up Zest of Times from this collection and will blog about it in the near future. I am going to use Ring the Belini as my Last Nail Purchase entry on the SBB Nail Challenge ;)

Today's polish comes from the Maybelline limited edition Vintage Leather Collection, it is Lasting Lilac. I'm not really sure why they wanted to call this line Vintage Leather, to me it's just polish with a matte finish and some metallic looking shards.

Lasting Lilac is slightly sheer, and the first coat was rather streaky, I ended up using three coats to get the opacity to a state I was happy with. I love the shade of this color, it's not lilac at all, but more like a grapey purple. It looked okay matte, but I wanted something shiny so I did add a glossy top coat to it. Obviously since it is a matte finish it did try super quick.

I like this polish for it's super quick dry time and the color, I don't know that I would ever wear it matte, to me I think it looks better shiny. I found this at the Dollar Tree so for $1 can't really say anything bad about it!

Tomorrow I'll be back with Ring the Belini from Sinful Colors Citrus Twist Collection.

A while back I purchased some Essie Sleek Stick nail appliques at the Dollar Tree and I finally got around to trying a pack of them out. I used the ones called Croc Madame, they are a beautiful minty teal green with a crocodile skin texture to them. The textured part also has a slight holographic effect to it.

The Sleek Stick nail appliques have been UV cured to provide long lasting wear with a high gloss finish. In the packaging you get 18 appliques, a cuticle stick and a nail file/buffer. They are super easy to apply, I prepped my nails by removing all existing nail polish and then wiping each nail down with some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. I then used the provided cuticle stick to push back my cuticles. Next I selected the correct appliques for each finger and applied them one by one. I did use my own file to file the excess off, instead of the one provided.

Usually when I use these types of nail nail products they don't tend to stick on very long, but these were a whole different story. I applied these on a Wednesday and by the following Wednesday they were still stuck to my nails! I did, as with all nail appliques, have some tip wear, this might could have been prevented if I had applied a top coat. I feel like I could have wore these for another week, but I was just tired of looking at them so I removed them. The removal process is as easy as the application process, to remove you simply pull them off. They did leave a little glue residue on my nails, but all I had to do was wipe my nails down with some polish remover and it all came off.

I would use these again, but only if I found more of them at the Dollar Tree. To be honest I don't even know if you can find these at the drug store anymore, I looked on Essie's website and could not find them on there anywhere.

Have you tried Essie Sleek Sticks? Did you have good results?
Hello everyone, hope you all are staying safe and warm! We had another round of snow yesterday that brought us around 3 inches and we are expecting yet another round tonight into tomorrow that is said to bring us anywhere from 2-8 inches. I've heard so many conflicting reports of what we are supposed to get, so I guess I'll just figure it out for myself once the storm is over :/

In polish news....... I want to share with you my first ever Julep polish, Marion. I found her at TJ Maxx sometime last year and finally got around to trying her out. Marion is a gorgeous teal green color with some shimmer, has a great formula as well, in my swatches I only applied one coat, yep just one! It dried really fast to which we all know is a huge plus. The only thing that I didn't like about it, is that it stained my nails. I'm not going to place all the blame on Marion just yet, because I'm still trying out my home made peel off base and that may be to blame for the staining. I'll try Marion out again at some point using a regular base and see how that goes.

Isn't she gorgeous?! I do wish that the sun would have been out better to help capture the nice shimmer that is in this polish. I wanted to set it off a little more so I did end up adding Salon Perfect Cosmic Dust on top. Of course I was not able to capture all the glittery goodness of that polish since the sun was not out. I can say for sure though that Cosmic Dust is an exact dupe for China Glaze Fairy Dust!

And last but not least in Technology news...... I finally have a new computer!!!! YAY!! I was originally looking for an All-in-One, but my computer savvy friend cautioned me to stay away from them, and after doing some research of my own on them I did come to the conclusion to stick with a tower CPU. I ended up getting a Dell Inspiron 3847, it has all the bells and whistles I was looking for in a computer with the exception of a webcam, but I can buy one to go on it or just keep using my iPhone when I Skype family. But now I can finally get back to blogging and not have to worry about it crashing while I'm working and not have to worry about it working at a snails pace LOL.

It is taking me a little getting used to, I've been using the same computer with Windows XP on it for the last 10 years!

Out with the old:

A few weeks ago I received a stamper and scrapper set from Born Pretty Store and I was excited when I received it cause it's one of those squishy marshmallowy kinds, I have been nothing but disappointed with it. I first tried using it as soon as I got it and could not get it to work right, I tried different polishes, different plates with no better luck. I seen on Instagram another lady had one of these exact same stampers, so I asked her about it, she said I needed to 'prime' it. I headed to Google to see how to do that and found some tutorials and did what it said to do. The first time I attempted to use it after I primed it, it worked great, the next time I go to try and use it, it would not work for me. So I give up if anyone has any tips on how to make this stamper work please leave them in the comments, I would be ever so grateful!
In any case I did finish out my mani using my other stamper on all my fingers with the exception of my little finger. I used OPI's In the Cable Car-Pool Lane and stamped it with Metallic Yellow from KleanColor. The plate I used was the Kaleidoscope Designs Plate from Born Pretty Store that I reviewed earlier this month. I LOVE this plate, it is one that you should add to your collection!

On a better note, I get to start computer shopping very soon, so hopefully I will be able to find one that I like and will be able to get back to reading everyone's blogs and back blogging on a regular basis! If any one has any good computer suggestions leave them in the comments :) I think I've settle on an All-in-One, I just don't know which one LOL
Hope you all enjoy your weekend and stay safe and warm, we are looking at another round of snow or ice tomorrow :(

Happy Thursday to you, I hope everyone is staying warm! In my neck of the woods, the good old mountains of NC, it was -4 and with the wind factored in, it felt like -23, a great day to just stay indoors!

My mani today really needed to be photographed outside, but there was no way I was going out there so I just headed to the window! I used Radiant from Avon's Cosmic Collection on all my fingers but one, and on that one I used a Lizard Print nail decal from Born Pretty Store.

As with all of Avon's Cosmic polishes, Radiant is a very nice scattered effect holographic polish and is a very pretty light gold color. Applied smoothly and dried very quickly, always a plus! The Lizard Print nail decals also worked amazingly, I cut out the decal I wanted, stuck it down in some water and then slid it off the paper and right on to my nail. I have found that using a paper towel, or some kind of tissue, to soak up the excess water makes them stick a lot better, even if the packaging does not say to do that. The only thing I didn't like about the decals was that they do not look the same in person as they do online. Online they appear to be mostly gold, in person they are more of an olive green.

I felt like using the decals on all my nails would be a bit much for my liking, I really like the way it came out just using one of them for an accent nail.

I snagged this up last weekend for $1.75 when Sally Beauty was having an extra 50% off their clearance merchandise sale!

Don't Let The Dead Bite has a nude pink jelly base with pink and red glitters. In my swatches I applied 3 coats, each coat dried really fast, I'm talking by the time I finished my right hand my left hand was dry and ready for the next coat! In my first coat my glitters were a little sparse, but with each layer I applied I was able to build them up. This polish reminds me a lot of It's a Trap-Eze from China Glaze's Cirque du Soleil: World's Away Collection, jelly base chocked full of glitter!
