Review: Avon Precision Grip Teardrop Blender

Have you ever heard of the Beauty Blender? Well the Avon precision grip teardrop blender is practically the same thing, but at a fraction of the cost. A Beauty Blender costs $19.95 and Avon's Blender is only $4.99! Avon's precision grip teardrop blender is made of Polyurethane and has a suede-like texture to help blend makeup seamlessly. I have searched to find out what the Beauty Blender is made from and all I can find on their website is "Beauty Blender is latex free, non-allergenic and odor free". Avon's blender measures 2 3/8" X 1 5/8". 


How I use my precision grip teardrop blender: 
I wet it with water and squeeze out the excess. The blender will expand in size, this is normal. I like to put a few dots of foundation on my face, usually one dot on each of my cheeks, forehead, chin, and some on my nose. I then take the blender and 'bounce' it on my skin to stipple the foundation into my skin. Then I take the blender and kind of roll it around the edges of my face to ensure that I have everything blended in well.


I really like this product. It does exactly what it says, blends my make up out great. I also feel like it helps me to achieve good coverage with even light to medium coverage foundation. I feel like this gives me better coverage than any makeup brush I've ever tried. I liked it so much I bought another one :) The only bad thing that I have found about this product is it does seem to stain easily with foundation that is considered full coverage. I've used it with two different foundations, Neutrogena healthy make up and Avon's Extra Lasting foundation, which is a full coverage foundation. The Neutorgena foundation washed right out of it, but the Avon foundation has stained it as you can see in the image below.
