Waterfall Nails

I wanted to do a Thanksgiving themed mani, but didn't want to do turkeys, so I thought I would try out a new technique and do Waterfall Nails! I like the way these came out! I've had a few people tell me that they look like flames and I've had a couple tell me they look like Turkey tails :)

Waterfall nails is a super easy technique to do and is something that I will do again in the future. I'm thinking white nails with Neon 'falls'!

For this look I used Avon's Gel Finish polish in Mudslide for my base and used Sinful Colors Clementine, Revlon Delicious, Mark's Saffron and a Yellow for my 'falls'.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Anyone go out and hit the Black Friday sales today?
Tomorrow I'll be back with a super cute nail look :)

Half Moons

Marking another mani off the #SBBNailChallenge today with a half moon manicure! This was my first try at this technique. I used Plum Power from Sally Hansen and Saffron from Mark.  I wasn't satisfied with just the half moon design so I decided to add some dots and turned it into a mani that I absolutely love!

Don't forget you can participate in this nail challenge too, just remember to tag your post and instagram photos with #SBBNailChallenge You don't have to work the list in order and you can post as often or as infrequent as you like.

Collective Shop and Share

Over the past month I have made a couple of purchases from Avon, one from Amazon and today I stopped by CVS to check out the clearance sale they are having. They have this sale twice a year, head over to Nouveau Cheap's post about it, it has all the details about the sale and what products are on clearance!

From Avon I bought three of their new nail polishes from a couple new collections they have. One is Mandarin Magic from the Forbidden Fruit collection. It is a beautiful bright orange with gold shimmer. The other two came from their Cosmic Nail collection. I was sorta skeptical about getting one from this collection, they are described as 'stardust luster finish' polishes, but I was so impressed with the first one I bought, I bought a second one! I got Saturn, which is what I would call a burnt orange, will be a great polish for the fall! The second one that I got is Aurora, a beautiful purple shade. These have some sort of shimmer to them, to me they kinda look holographic.
I also got a couple of the i-Mark single eye shadows, one in lotus, a lavender color. I also got Biscotti, which is a cream color.
Left-Right: Mandarin Magic, Aurora, Saturn
Biscotti
Lotus

L-R: Biscotti, Lotus
From Amazon I got a couple of polishes, that I'm not too happy with and a couple of nail stamping plates. The polishes are from KleanColor and are described as holographic, which is why I wanted them. One is called Chunky Holo Purple and the other is called Chunky Holo Bluebell. They look absolutely gorgeous in the bottle, but not great on the nails. They remind me of the Essie Luxe Effects collection, which obviously are not holographic polishes, they are flakie polishes and I like flakie polishes, but would have rather had them be holographic like the were described. And they have the strongest stinkiest smell ever! Sorry if that sounded like a rant LOL :/ These polishes were $1.65 each.
The stamping plates are made by MASH. I love them and they were only $2.99 each.
L-R: Bluebell, Purple

From CVS I picked up three of the Maybelline Color Show nail polishes. Each of these were 50% off! They retail for $3.99 each I got them for $1.99 each! I got two of the metallic polishes, Amethyst Ablaze and Navy Narcissist. I also got one of the shredded polishes, which I assume is supposed to be like a crackle polish, called Magenta Mirage. If it is a 'crackle' polish, I can't get it to crack LOL. If you have one of these, let me know if my assumption is right or not and if it is, how do you crack it.
L-R: Magenta Mirage, Amethyst Ablaze, Navy Narcissist
Swatches of all the polishes:
L-R: Bluebell, Purple, Mandarin Magic, Saturn, Aurora, Navy Narcissist, Amethyst Ablaze, Magenta Mirage
Have you got any good beauty products lately?

If you read my ABC Nail Challenge: Letter Q post, you know I was doing a nail product trial test. I have finished my trial and am working on a review of the products I used. I will tell you that they were Julep products. I hope to have the review up by the end of next week :) Review will be up tomorrow morning :)

Fall Nail Polsih

Since fall is here (insert sad face LOL) I thought I would share with you some of my favorite nail polishes from my collection for fall. During the fall I love to wear very neutral colors, browns, nudes, coppers and golds. I also like to have a few mauve type shades in there too.

Avon Haul: June 14

Yay another Avon haul! I love when I get my shipment of Avon in, it's like Christmas every 2 weeks :)
This post has quite a few photos, like most of my Avon hauls do.

This week I bought a few new products and some older ones. I got one of their new lip tints, which I am not sure I'm going to like, it has a lot of glitter in it and it feels gritty on my lips. It's in the shade shimmer, guess the glitter is how they came up with the name.

Friday Favorites

Here are my favorites for this week :)

1. ELF Golden Bronzer. I feel like this gives my face just a hint of color with out looking all weird. I do wish that it didn't have shimmer in it though.
2. Physicians Formula Healthy Wear tinted moisturizer with SPF50. I love this stuff, it's super easy to apply, I just use my fingers. It lasts on my face all day and gives me good coverage.
3. My favorite fragrance this week has been Moonlight Path by Bath & Body Works. This is probably my favorite scent from there.
4. This week I have still been using my Wet n Wild Silent Treatment trio. It's such a great trio!
5. For my eye shadow base I have been using Avon's Cool Bliss eye shadow in Pebble Stone. This is kind of like a cream shadow and when you apply it to your eyes it leaves them feeling cool and refreshed. I think it's the perfect base for the Wet n Wild Silent Treatment Trio. Really makes the eye lid color pop.
6. Still loving my Mark Scanda-Lash mascara.
7. For my lips this week I have been loving my Wet n Wild Megashield lip color in Birthday Suit.

Friday Favorites

Here are my Friday Favorites for this week.

1) This is my Mark eye shadow in Gioia. It's not one of the best eye shadows that I own but I really like the color.
2) Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser. I got this in my most recent Target Beauty Bag and I have been loving it! I feel like it gets my face really clean. I think this is a product that I will be purchasing in the near future.
3) Nivea Extended Moisture Daily Lotion. Another product that I got in my most recent Target Beauty Bag. I love this lotion it is super moisturizing and smells amazing!
4) Was feeling the need for some extra coverage this week, so I reached for my Extra Lasting Foundation from Avon. I really like this foundation cause it gives such good coverage and it has SPF12.
5) I always get compliments on my skin/complexion almost every time I wear my ELF makeup mist and set. I love using this because it allows me to be able to wear powder with out my face looking all cakey! ELF is currently having a sale where you can get this BOGO Free!
6) My Avon blender! Love this thing!
7) I have been using this mascara a lot because I prefer brown mascara to black when I just want a natural look. So I have been reaching for my Mark scanda-lash mascara in Brown Out.
8) I have been reaching for my Kiehl's Abyssine cream+ quite a bit the last few days. I got this in my May Birchbox. I really like how well this cream moisturizes and how soft it leaves my skin.

Avon Haul Favorites and Fails

If you have not seen my Avon haul from last campaign go ahead and check that out :)

Out of the six products that I purchased 2 of them were complete fails! The Main Squeeze lip gloss is just way too sticky and sparkly for my taste. The Mark Speedway Do Everything makeup in Ivory was an even bigger fail in my opinion. First off it has kind of a yellowish tint to it, it seems to settle in to any fine lines that you may have and the finish looks really powdery. Definitely not good for anyone that has any dryness on their face, like I do. Also I am pretty pale and this make up made me look like a ghost : /

Avon Haul--Campaign 10

I've been sick and have not left my house in about a week, so no beauty favorites this week. But I do an Avon haul, even though it's all mark products ;) I did purchase another one of the Tear Drop Blenders, will have a a review on that soon!

So here are the mark products that I purchased. Main Squeeze lip gloss in Honey Squeeze. I think the packaging is really cute. The outer part is made of clear hard
