Empties

I'm a week later on my empties post than I had planned. I had the opportunity to go spend a week with my family, so I jumped on it. This will be the first empties post I have done since May so let's just get right in to it!

I mostly had hair stuff, so we'll check that out first. I finished up Avon Advance Techniques Restoring Shampoo and Conditioner, not anything special about it, didn't notice any changes in my hair, will not repurchase. Next is Suave's Humectant Moisture Shampoo, I liked this it smells nice and seems to give my hair a little moisture and it's inexpensive, would probably repurchase. I also finally finished off the Suave Moroccan Infusion Shampoo, love the way it smells! As with all Suave products I would probably repurchase just because it's inexpensive. Tresemme Flawless Curls Mousse, I liked this and it's affordable, would likely purchase again but right now I want to try out some gels and cream products for my curls. Suave Touchable Finish hair spray, used to be my all time favorite, but I fell in love with an old favorite in September while at the beach, so I probably will not be repurchasing this product. My new/old favorite hairspray Rave! I used to use this stuff all the time back in middle and high school, picked up a travel size while at the beach and fell back in love with it. Obviously will be repurchasing this. Finished off another bottle of Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment, love this stuff on the days that I wear my hair in it's naturally curly state, gives it the extra hydration it craves, will repurchase. Lastly in the hair care empties I have some Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, I received these samples from PinchMe back in the summer, best I can remember I really liked these products and they smell amazing, may purchase in the future.

I also had a few face items. Two packs of Epielle facial cleansing tissues, I get these at Big Lots for $1 a pack, they work well and are in my budget. I have already repurchased some back ups. ELF makeup mist and set is my favorite setting spray. I tend to use this more often when I wear a full coverage foundation, I would repurchase. Love the L'Oreal Hydrafresh toner, this is the second bottle I have finished! Have already repurchased. The last face product I finished off is Avon Elements Moisture boost, love this as a spring and summer moisturizer, but now that it is fall my face feels like it needs some extra moisture, so I would repurchase this but for spring and summer use.

Lastly nail and hand items: Onyx professional acetone remover, something that I will repurchase over and over LOL Also finished up a bottle of equate regular polish remover. Lastly I finished off my Sugar Lemon hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works, I love lemon scents so I have to repurchase this!

What products have you been finishing off?
Do y'all enjoy these empty posts?

Favorites: May 2014

It has been a while since I've done a Favorites post, February was actually the last one. Within those few months I have found a few new favorites I wanted to share with you, a few are old rediscovered favorites.

We'll start with my new favorite hair product, L'Oreal Sleek It Iron Straight Heat Spray. I got this in my Ulta Haul earlier this year. It seems to shorten my straightening time and really keeps the frizz at bay, the thing I like most about it is you can feel it conditioning your hair while you are styling it. Leaves my hair feel so soft and smooth. Will be purchasing again once I use this one up!

Up next are a few skin/body products. I have been using my Perlier Volcanic Thermal Scrub about once a week to get my skin looking soft and smooth for spring/summer. I love this stuff, it is a little harsh, but not so much that it bothers me. I have also been loving my Udderly Smooth hand cream that I picked up at the Dollar Tree a while back. Hands down the best hand cream I've ever used, does not leave my hands feeling greasy at all and really makes them feel soft. I love my Gud Body Butter in Floral Cherrynova, smells so amazing and provides my skin with a lot of moisture leaving it feeling super soft and smooth. My last skin favorite is one that I've had for a while, the Julep Glycolic Hand Scrub. It got pushed back and hid on my shelf, but it leaves your hands so soft, a nice weekly treatment :)

I had quite a few new eye favorites this time around. The Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner is amazing, I can do my makeup in the morning and not have to worry about my eyeliner fading or smudging! For the past few months I have found my self grabbing the same 4 eyeshadows; ELF Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in Little Miss Thing, Avon Cream Shadows in Champagne and Hazelnut and Avon Glazewear Diamonds in Mauved Metal. I have also switched my eye primer to Primed and Ready Eye Primer from Prestige works amazing! I had to throw in my Maybelline One by One Volume Express mascara, love this stuff so much!

For Face favorites I have one new and one old. My new favorite is Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse Foundation, best foundation I have found for my normal to dry skin. My old favorite is NYC's Sunny Bronzer, perfect shade for my fair skin and it's super affordable.

I have two fragrances that I can't quit using, both from Bath & Body Works. Coconut Water that I picked up last fall at one of their big sales. I have also been loving French Lavender & Honey, went ahead and bought a back up of it!

I do believe that is it for my Favorites! What are some of the products you are currently loving?

Collective Haul

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings

If you follow me on Instagram you have seen a sneak peek of this haul :)

I also want to say that I am in no way trying to brag by posting hauls, I love reading other's haul posts so I hope others enjoy reading mine too. It's always fun to see the things that people buy. Okay on to the haul.

Last week the hubby and I went shopping in a city that is about 50 or so miles away from us, we live in a tiny town and don't have any of the good stores LOL I picked up a few new goodies and wanted to share.

First place we went was the Dollar Tree and there I found some L'Oreal Project Runway Limited Edition nail stickers. I picked up two of them one in The Seductive Temptress, which looks like snake up close and camouflage from a distance. The other set I picked up was The Wise Mystic, they look sorta like fishnets with some glitter! The only other item I picked up here was a tube of Udderly Smooth hand cream.

Next at TJ Maxx I found some of my favorite foot balm. I won a small tube of this in a giveaway last year and it is the best lotion to use on my feet in the summer time. I've not repurchased it before, because for me it was a little expensive, but I found two 4 oz bottle for just

Year In Review: Favorite Products

Welcome to the first of four posts in my Year in Review series! Today I'll be sharing my favorite products from 2013! I have quite a few things so let's get started. Also if I have reviewed the product I'll link to that post in case you want to know more about it.

I'll start off with my favorite lip product, Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched, since I don't have a photo of it because I'm out of it and I can't find a photo that I took of it, but we all know what it looks like. I went through several of these lip balms in 2013 I think they moisturize my lips well and I love that it has SPF in it.

I tired several new skin care items this year and came out with three that I really liked. L'Oreal Hydrafresh Toner, eclos Skin Prep Cleanser and Avon Moisture Boost Daily moisture lotion. I hear a lot of people say that you don't need a toner, but I feel like it really helps my skin and it makes it feel really fresh. This toner did not leave my skin feeling tight or dry. I have been using this same bottle of eclos cleanser for months, and it is probably my most favorite cleanser ever, hands down. It cleans my face well and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. The only issue I have with this product is the price. I have used several moisturizers this year as well, but I stuck with the Avon one the longest, it's a really light moisturizer, but it gives my skin all the moisture that it needs.

Next are face products that I used the most in 2013. I instantly fell in love with the Olay Fresh Effects BB cream, I have been using this since early summer. It gives me the moisture my skin craves and evens out my skin tone, it does not give much coverage though, that's where my NYC Sunny bronzer comes in. I love this bronzer and will probably never

Haul: Christmas Gifts and After Christmas Shopping

Today I thought I would share with you some of the beauty related gifts that I got for Christmas plus a few products that I picked up at the after Christmas clearance sales. I'm in no way trying to brag, just thought this would be a fun post :)

First up are a few things that my Husband got me. He is so great, he will listen to me go on an on about beauty products even though most of the time he will admit he has no clue what I'm talking about, but his gifts proves he really is listening. He got me two bottles of the Garnier Sleek and Shine Moroccan Argan Oil and this awesome set from Suave which contains the Moroccan infusion products. It comes with the shampoo, conditioner, a hair mask, a bottle of oil and 3 of the Goody Ouchless elastics! He also got me a $25 Gift Card to Bath & Body Works.

My Mother-in-Law got me some styling products from Sally's Beauty Supply. I've never tried any hair products from Sally's, I usually only shop there for nail stuff, so I'm excited to give these products a try. Two bottles of Volumizing Sculpting Foam and a bottle of finishing spray, these are supposed to be comparable to Paul Mitchell products.

My Best Friend got me a few things from Bath & Body Works,

Empties: November & December 2013

I did not get around to blogging about my empties from November, so I thought I would combine them with my December empties. I have quite a few as you can see from above, so lets jump right in.

Up first I finished two hand sanitizers from Bath & Body Works, Papaya Melon Scoop and Apple Wreath. The Papaya smelled pretty good, nice and fruity. Would have been a great one to use in the spring or summer. I love Apple Wreath, you can smell hints of apple and Christmas trees, and absolutely love the way Christmas trees smell. I was bummed when I ran out of it and I looked when I was in Bath & Body Works earlier this week and I could not find it or anything like it.

Up next I have three nail polishes, I used these to make Christmas ornaments! I used Glitter Wonderland from Color Club, Get Low and Lost in Vegas both from Pure Ice. These colors made great ornaments since they were shimmery. I used the Glitter Wonderland to make my best friend one since purple is her favorite color and I used the other 2 to make my Mother-in-Law 3 ornaments since her theme for her tree was burgundy and gold.

I also finally used up the Equate makeup remover wipes that I got back in September! I think these good removing wipes, they work just as good as the ones that I get from Big Lots and the Simple wipes. I finished up my Secret deodorant and a bottle of the ELF Mist and Set spray. I would buy all these products again, I already have a back of the deodorant and I think 3 back ups of the spray.

Lastly I have some hair products that I finished up. First up is the Salon Selectives shampoo that I picked up from Big Lots, honestly this was like the bottle of shampoo that would never end! I did not like this at all, the consistency of the shampoo was weird almost gelatin like. I felt like I had to use twice as much of it as I would any other shampoo just to get it to lather up good. On the plus side it smelled pretty good and was inexpensive. I would not buy this again. I also finished up two different oils, my Garnier Sleek and Shine Moroccan Argan Oil and my Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment. Between the two I definitely prefer the Garnier, I just feel like it worked with my hair better and it's about half the price of the Macadamia one. I would repurchase the Garnier Moroccan Argan Oil, but my wonderful husband bought me two bottles of it for Christmas!

Wow, I feel like that was a lot of stuff! Did you finish up any products the last few months?

I Love Fall Tag

Happy October!  Katy over at Skin Stuff by Katy tagged me to do the I Love Fall tag. I love the begining of fall when the weather starts to cool down and the leaves are so full of color, but after that's all gone I'm ready for spring LOL

1. Favorite Fall lip product?
I don't really change up my lip products in the fall, I tend to wear either plain lip balm or nudes all year round.

2. Favorite Fall nail polish?
I love anything gold for the fall. I also just received a set of Finger Paints polishes and there is one called Pin Curls & Pouts, it's a beautiful burgundy color that I thin would be great for fall.

3. Favorite Fall Starbucks drink?
I have never been to a Starbucks, I'm not a coffee drinker :)

4. Favorite Fall candle?
I really love anything that smells like Caramel. Two of my favorites are Cider Lane and Hot Buttered Rum from Bath & Body Works.

5. Favorite Fall clothing item or accessory?
I'm gonna have to go with part of Katy's answer, I'm not really a fashionista, just give some jeans and a cute top and I'm good to go.

6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze?
I have never been to a haunted house and probably never will, I scare very, very easily. I would love to go to a non-haunted corn maze though.

7. Favorite Halloween movie?
I have sat here and thought and thought and I can't think of a favorite Halloween movie. I have seen Chucky and liked it.

8. Favorite candy to eat on Halloween?
Candy Corn!

9. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?
I will not be dressing up for Halloween.

10. What is your favorite thing about Fall?
I love seeing the leaves change colors and the cooler weather.

I tag:
Jasmine - Green Eyed Monster
Martha - Quick Cheap and Pretty
Lizzy - Lizzy's Place

And anyone else that would like to do this tag.

What's In My Travel Bag

Since I am on vacation, I thought it would be fun to share what beauty related items I took with me on my trip.

We'll start of with the 'tools'. I brought along my Elf Complexion Brush for bronzer, Elf Powder brush to 'tap' my face after spraying setting spray, Elf Eye Shadow Brush, Eye Crease brush and Blending Eye brush. I also brought along my Revlon eye lash curler.

Gotta have a clean and moisturized face, so I brought some epille cleansing wipes, L'Oreal toner (love this stuff) and Avon Moisture Boost moisturizer lotion.

Since I am vacationing at the beach I want to keep my make up very minimal, light and fuss free. I brought Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream, Avon Eye shadow quad in Stone Taupes, Avon eye primer, NYC Sunny Bronzer, Avon Water proof mascara, Avon ultra luxury eye liner, Maybelline Baby Lips and Vaseline lip theapy (love using this at night).

For shampoo and conditioner I will brought some samples that I had stashed away. I ended up not bringing the Pantene, I found some Suave Moroccan Infusion Shine shampoo and conditioner samples hidden on the back of one of my shelves. I also brought an extra bottle filled with Aussie shampoo. I changed my lotion out too from what is picture here, I brought along some Vaseline coco lotion, smells yummy. I also wanted a light body spray so I brought my Bath & Body Works Citrus Orchid spray.

A few items not pictured that I also brought along were my Earth Theraputics Tea Tree Oil foot repair balm, love that stuff. ELF Mist and Set spray and Secret deodorant.

Here is my lovely travel bag, it's a Modella bag that I picked up from Walmart a few years ago. It was somewhere around the $10-$15 range, it has nice little pockets all along the inside to stick stuff in.

What do you pack in your travel bag?

August Empties & Update

Normally I'm all like where did the month go, but I am glad to see August go! The last week of August was bad for me, I had oral surgery to extract a tooth and had an allergic reaction to the gloves the surgeon used, so I spent the week laid up on the couch with a sore mouth and swelled up lips LOL Another reason I'm glad to see August go is I get to go on vacation the 9th of September! So excited! I will still have posts up the week of the 9th-13th. I will not however have a Mish Mash Nail Challenge post up this week. I was trying to get a couple of the challenges done so I wouldn't have to miss any with my surgery and vacation and somehow I managed to skip over this week and did next weeks challenge (insert eye roll). I should do it but I have so much house work to catch up on and blogging stuff and getting things ready for vacation, but I'm really excited about my post for next weeks Mish Mash Challenge. Okay on to the empites!

Up first I have a bottle of Wild Honeysuckle soap from B&BW. I love the way this smells, I would purchase again if I found it on sale. I finally used up my pack of Ponds cleansing towels; I like these, nothing special, would possibly repurchase them. I also used up the ELF Mist and Set Spray, I really like this stuff if I am wearing any kind of powders on my face because it keeps my face from looking dry and cakey. I threw in my China Glaze Black Mesh Crackle polish because it is so thick it's unusable, same goes for the NYC quick drying top coat.

With all they fun manicures I've been doing lately I finished up my regular polish remover and my pure acetone remover.

I finished up more hair products this month! Finished another can of my favorite hairspray, Suave Touchable Finish spray, already have another bottle. Finished up the Biolage conditioner that went with the shampoo that I finished in June, won't repurchase this. So sad that I finished up my Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves, I have a hard time finding this stuff in my area, but would repurchase. I also finished up two samples of conditioner Tresemme split end remedy and daily moisture renewal from Pantene, probably would not purchase either one of these.

What did you finish up this month?

Haul: Bath & Body Works

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose

I went to Bath & Body Works for a specific fragrance, Rome Honeysuckle Amore, but they did not have it, so I took advantage of their three mini's for $10 promotion they had going on and picked up three new (to me) scents; White Mango, Coconut Water and Citrus Orchid. I also picked up five of their hand sanitizers; Peach Poppy, Sweet Clementine, Aqua Blossom, I love S'mores and one for my hubby,Ocean for Men. He always asks me if I have any hand sanitizer and then he'll say is it gonna make me smell like a girl? LOL I told him he didn't have to worry about that now.

Is it just me that hates actually going to the Bath & Body Works store? I feel like their employees are lions waiting on some fresh meat they can pounce on. Just let me shop and if I need anything I'll come to you LOL. Please tell me I am not alone on this one.

Have you shopped at B&BW recently? What did you get?

Fragrance Rotation: May

I have really been enjoying switching out my fragrances once a month. It helps me to remember to put on my fragrance before I leave the house because I don't have to sort through all of my fragrances, just four. Here is the photo that I took of my fragrances for April:

And again at the end of the month: As you can tell I used my Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea the most.

The fragrances I chose for the month of May are Wid Honeysuckle from Bath & Body Works, Country Chic also from B&BW, Wonder Moon Orchid from Avon, and Luscious Temptations from Avon in Naughty Orange Blossom.

Do you rotate you fragrances? If so what fragrances did you choose for this month?

Fragrance Rotation: April

March was the first month that I had done the fragrance rotation and it was great! Having just the four fragrances sitting on my shelf helped me to remember to use them and also cut down on the time it took me to decide which one I wanted to use.

Here is the photo that I took at the beginning of March, I should have took it at a different angle so you could see the bottles more strait on.
And here is the photo I took at the end of March. My two favorites from the month were Twilight Woods and Paris Amour, both from Bath & Body Works.
My fragrances for April are; Reese Witherspoon In Bloom from Avon, Sweet Pea, Cherry Blossom, both from Bath & Body Works, and Outspoken by Fergie, from Avon.

Are you doing a fragrance rotation? If so, what fragrances did you choose for the month of April?

Empties: March 2013

I'm pretty proud of myself, for the second month in a row I have a few products that I was able to finish up!

During the month of March I finished my Not Your Mother's Way to Grow conditioner, last month I used up the shampoo and I have really been able to tell it. My hair is back to being frizzy and unruly and breaking like crazy! Must repurchase LOL.

I finished up three bottles of soap from Bath & Body Works. Berry Twinkle, Peach Bellini, and Candy Cane Bliss. The last two hubby threw the bottles away before I got them put in to my empties basket. I would repurchase all of these soaps, I love them.

I finished up my Proactiv toner. I would not repurchase this, just because you have to purchase the entire three step system in order to get it and I don't need the other two products. I replaced it with a L'Oreal toner.

I finally finished up my bottle of Avon eye makeup remover. I really like this stuff and repurchased it months before I ran out when they had it on sale for $.99

I also finished up two hand creams, my EOS cucumber melon and my Avon Vita Moist. I like the EOS, but it's not something I would repurchase simply because it's a little pricey for me. I will repurchase the Avon hand cream.

I also finished up a non beauty related item and I wanted to add it because I had blogged about it, and that is my Palmolive Fresh Infusions dish soap. Love this stuff and will be repurchasing.

What products did you use up? Leave me a link to your post, I would love to check it out.

Project 10 Pan Update: 1 Month

I can't beleive it has been a whole month since I started my Project 10 Pan, which I'm really considering just calling it, I want you out of my life, or using up what I've got lol.

Okay, so last month I picked out 10 products from my stash that I wanted to try and finish, first month did not go so well :(
Here were the items I selected:

1. Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake body wash: I only used this once during the past month, but I am determined to finish it off!
2. EOS Hand Cream: Finished!!!! Yay Me! :)
3. ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Luminance: I have decided to remove this item from my Project 10 Pan. I honestly just do not like it anymore. I think I have like 2 or 3 more of these that have not even been opened
4. Fresh Sugar Rose tinted lip treatment: I used this a lot while in my office blogging or whatever else I may have been doing in there.
5. ELF Golden Bronzer in Golden: I have also decided to remove this item from my Project 10 Pan, I feel like it is way to shimmery for me. I have gotten to where I don't like a lot of shimmer in my face products.
6. NYC Smooth skin primer: I have only used this a few times, again another product I am determined to finish up.
7. Maybelline One by One Volume Express Mascara: I have been using this every single day! This will be something that I repurchase, Love it.
8. Wet n Wild Megaslicks gloss in Strawberry Ice: Removed this item and #9 from my items. These are just too drying on my lips, probably why I did not finish them a long time ago.
9. Wet n Wild Megaslicks gloss in Rose Gold: See above
10. Avon Ultra Luxury eye liner in dark brown: My favorite brown eyeliner! I have used this pretty much everyday as well.

So what will I be using to replace the four items that I took out of my Project 10 Pan, and the one item that I used up?
1. Milani illuminating face powder
2. Twilight Woods body lotion
3. Avon Vita Moist hand cream
4. ELF Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade
5. ELF Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Caramel Candy

Below are some pictures of the 'new' products in their current state. I have also merged together the pictures of the products from last month with the pictures I took today to show how much or little they have been used.
Current State: I use this everyday :)
This is a little less than half empty. Should be able to use it up pretty quick
Almost gone!
I should be able to finish this up this month.

Hopefully you are able to see how much of this I used  during the month.
Current Sate. Not sure how long it will take to use these up.
I made a little dent in this product

I will be updating again on April 10th :)
