Review -- Gillette Venus & Olay Razor

I received a Gillette Venus & Olay razor from Influenster to try out, and I have to say I really like this razor! I'm very picky when it comes to what I shave with and this one has won me over. It has 5 blades, which I love! It has Olay moisture bars so you don't have to use a separate shave cream/gel, this also helps to lock in moisture to your skin. The head of this razor moves with the curvature of your body, I feel like this will help me not to cut myself when shaving, which is something I usually do. I do have to say that I have cut or nicked myself while using this razor, which makes me like it even more! You can pick this razor up at your local drug store for around $8.99-10.99.

NOTD Easter/Spring

With spring here I was inspired to create a Springy/Easter nail of the day!
I started out by using China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat, then I used New York Colors City Sweets Pink, stamped a design using Wet n Wilds I Need A Refresh-Mint, and topped it all off with NYC's Clear coat.

I was lucky enough to find a display of the New York Color (NYC) City Sweets collection at my local Rite Aid!! I picked up two of the polishes City Sweets Pink and Peaches 'N Cream.

I really love these colors. They really make me think of Spring and Easter. They are all like pastel type colors. There was also a mint color and a lavender color. I was also really impressed by the amount of shine these polishes had with out having to apply a top coat.

NYC products are some of my most favorite beauty products they are always on trend and super affordable!

Review--Kiss Nail Dress

I have mixed feelings about the Kiss Nail Dresses that I received from Influenster to review. I was pretty bummed when I opened the package and noticed that two of the sheets were one color and the other was a slightly different color. They also have a very strong smell when you open the package, and I can still smell that odor on my nails now.

The concept of the Nail Dress is a pretty neat one. You just peel and stick and your nails are done. I found the application process to be very quick and easy. I did not have a hard time finding the correct size for my nails, so that is a really good thing. You are supposed to use an emery board (comes in the package) to file off the excess nail dress. I found that it did not leave the edges very smooth. I don't know If I did it wrong or if I should have filed at it a little more. So I have been snagging my nails over my shirt since I put them on. It says on the packaging that they are supposed to last for 10 days. I personally do not see that happening, mine have already worn away from the edge of my nail and I just put them on last night.

My final thoughts on this product:
I would like to give this product another try and maybe take a little more time and care with filing off the edges to see if I get better results and longer wear out of them, but not a product that I am likely to purchase in the near future.

Again I do think that the concept is a rather neat one, especially if you are one that likes to have cool designs on your nails, but you don't have the time or patients to either free hand them on your nails or use one of the stamping systems. They come with 28 strips in each package and you can use them on your fingers or your toes.

Nail Dress' suggested retail is $6.99 and is available in all major drug chains and mass retailers.

 Hopefully you are able to see the difference in colors. The sheet in the middle is darker than the other two sheets.

Ghirardelli Review--Influenster VoxBox

I received this chocolate bar in my Love VoxBox from Influenster. I was really excited to see that this was in the voxbox, because this is a brand that I have wanted to try for a while now but never picked it up on my own.

I have to say this is some of the best chocolate that I have ever eaten. It is a rich, smooth, silky kind of chocolate. I described it to my husband as Heaven in you mouth :) If you are a chocolate lover like me the Ghirardelli is a great brand to try out!

I can honestly say the coupon that Influenster sent along in the VoxBox will for sure be getting used :)

Good Finds at the Dollar Tree

The other day I went out shopping and stopped by the Dollar Tree (one of my favorite stores). I found a couple of beauty products there that I thought were worth picking up and sharing with you.

First thing I picked up was a White Rain Body Wash. I usually don't use body washes, but here recently I have really enjoyed using them. This one is in the scent Tropical Coconut. It lathers up great, leaves your skin feeling super soft and smooth, and smells amazing!

The second beauty product I picked up was a L.A. Colors Little Black Book of eyeshadows! I think there were 3 or 4 different ones, I picked the Glam Edition because it had the best colors. I have not used this yet so I don't know how good the pigmentation is, but I'll let you know!

Love VoxBox from Influenster

I was so excited to get the Love VoxBox from Influenster! It has a lot of great goodies in it. The only thing that I have tried out so far was the Ghirardelli chocolate and let me tell you, it's like Heaven in your mouth! So good!

The box also had a sample box of herbal tea from Stash, a Gillette Venus & Olay razor, a sample box of Truvia sweetener, and a set of the new Kiss Nail Dress. I'm looking forward to trying out all these products! I will post reviews for them here.
