Today's polish comes from the Maybelline limited edition Vintage Leather Collection, it is Lasting Lilac. I'm not really sure why they wanted to call this line Vintage Leather, to me it's just polish with a matte finish and some metallic looking shards.
Lasting Lilac is slightly sheer, and the first coat was rather streaky, I ended up using three coats to get the opacity to a state I was happy with. I love the shade of this color, it's not lilac at all, but more like a grapey purple. It looked okay matte, but I wanted something shiny so I did add a glossy top coat to it. Obviously since it is a matte finish it did try super quick.
I like this polish for it's super quick dry time and the color, I don't know that I would ever wear it matte, to me I think it looks better shiny. I found this at the Dollar Tree so for $1 can't really say anything bad about it!
Tomorrow I'll be back with Ring the Belini from Sinful Colors Citrus Twist Collection.

Stamping Fun
Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings | Gifted
Hey Y'all, happy February! Today I'm gonna show you this really awesome plate that I received from Born Pretty Store, it is the Kaleidoscope Designs plate!
I love that you get 21 different designs on one plate, which means endless nail looks! I have used this plate a couple of times now and I think my results have been fairly good. On the first design I'll be showing you down below I did get some excess polish picked up on the stamp and it got transferred on to my nail, I fully think this was due to operator error and not anything to do with the plate.
For the first look I did with this plate I used Avon Metallic Effects Jade Reflection for my base and stamped using a black creme polish. The image I used is in the last row, second image from the left. You can see on my middle finger where the excess polish transferred over, I'm thinking I didn't scrape the plate good enough that time. In any case it made for a pretty design.
For the second look I used Maybelline Color Show Shock Wave for my base. I am in love with this color, it reminds me of the blue that you see on some Toyota trucks! For my stamping I used Celeb City from Sally Hansen. The design I used is also on the last row, last image on that row. For this look I was inspired from the snow that we had yesterday. The design, to me, sorta looks like snow flakes. I did have a little mess up on my index finger, I didn't get my full nail covered on the first try so I went back in and messed it up trying to double stamp.
Overall I'm really liking this plate and I will playing around with it more in the near future! You can get this plate for only $5.99 and save 10% off that price with coupon code: SMBW10! And as always Born Pretty has FREE shipping!
I would also like to take a minute and apologize for not blogging and keeping up with y'alls blogs on a regular basis! I have been out of town a lot lately and the computer that I use to blog on is 12 years old and becoming difficult to work with. It is so slow and sometimes takes forever to pull up web pages and open programs. Sometimes it will just stop responding while I'm in the middle of something. If you know anything about RAM, most computers now days come with 4GB of RAM, mine only has 1GB! So needless to say I get very frustrated with it and I just don't want to mess with it LOL Hopefully though in a few months I will be able to get a new one and be back to blogging and reading blogs smoothly :)
Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!

Try it on Tuesday: Maybelline Color Show & China Glaze
Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings
I am finally back with Try it on Tuesday posts! Today I have a couple of polishes that I bought when I went out shopping after Christmas. I got a Maybelline Color Show polish in Urban Utopia from Big Lots for $1, love find great polish finds there! Urban Utopia is a beautiful teal color cream, applied like a dream, no drag marks. I applied 2 coats for full opacity.
The polish that I used as a topper is one that I first seen on Amazon and put it on my wish list, but was hesitant about getting it because it was like $8 for a mini bottle, just couldn't see paying that much for a small bottle. I stopped by Sally's on my little shopping trip and what did I find, the exact same polish, mini size and all for $2.49, Score! The polish is Travel in Color from China Glaze and it is just gorgeous! It is a white, shimmery, iridescent polish.
On top of Urban Utopia I could see hints of pink, blue and purple which of course was hard to capture in a photo, it did not help matters that for the first few days that I had these polishes on, that the sun refused to shine. Finally the sun did come out and I was able to get a half way decent photo of these polishes together. My picture does not do Travel in Color any justice at all. Please excuse my chips and tip wear :)
I will definitely be trying Travel in Color on top of other shades of polish! Do you have this in your polish collection? Is it one that you would add to it?

Mish Mash Challenge Week 9: Blue
I can not believe that we are already on week 9 of the Mish Mash Challenge and that September is almost over! This weeks Mish Mash Challenge theme was Blue and I had all kinds of ideas in my head with little time to execute them, so I went with something pretty simple. I used Maybelline Color Show metallic polish in Navy Narcissist, which is a beautiful royal blue color. Topped that off with Sally Hansen Crackle in Wave Break, which is a beautiful shade of blue with sparkle. Certain ways you turn it, it has a magenta color duo chrome aspect to it. It was some kind of strong crackle, not only did it crackle, but it cracked my base color too! Never had that happen with a crackle polish before, have you?
Be sure to stop by and check out what the ladies did for Blue!

Haul: Big Lots
Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose
First up I spotted some Salon Selectives shampoos and conditioners. I tend to switch up my shampoo and conditioners every so often, so I thought I would give these a try and 24 oz for $1.80, why not? I got Moisturizing Shampoo for dry, damaged or fragile hair, and smooth and straight conditioner that is supposed to help smooth and tame frizz to give you sleek and silky hair.
I also picked up two packs of the epielle cleansing wipes, one Aloe Vera and one Citrus. I have tried the Green Tea ones and I really like them so I wanted to try out the other kinds they had to offer. These cost $1.00 each and contain 30 wipes.
I spotted some ELF products too and decided to pick up one of the Beauty Must Haves Eyeshadow Compacts in Natural. It was only $2.95 and it says that they can be used dry or wet.
The items that I am most excited about finding are the Maybelline Color Show Sequins nail polishes! I found the whole collection, minus one for $1.00 each! They are gorgeous polishes packed full of sparkle!

NOTD: July 4th
Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose
Just a quick little post today. I wanted to share my July 4th mani with you. I attempted to make my nails a flag! I used Maybelline Color Show Navy Narcissist and stamped stars with Color Club Holo Cherubic, I really wanted to use white, but none of my whites would stamp good. For my other two fingers I first painted them with Milani's White on the Spot, used some scotch tape to make some stripes, and painted over that with Siren from Pure Ice.
Did you do a July 4th mani? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to see them.
Hope you all have a fabulous 4th!
And today is also my babies birthday! They are 4 :)

Review: Nail Studs from KKCenterHK
KKCenterHK sent me some Circular 1.5 mm circular nail art studs to try out and review. I have never used any studs for manicures before so this was a fun product to try out and a good challenge for me. The studs were quite easy to pick up with a pair of tweezers and place on the nail. The only difficulty I had was that my polish had dried to much and was not as tacky as I would have liked it to be. I really like that these studs are pretty flat on the bottom so they sit low on the nails. I was amazed at how well these studs stayed on my nails. I honestly thought I would hit my nail over something and they would fall right off, I was so wrong. I even tried to pick them off with my fingernail and could not. I am very pleased with these studs and looking forward to creating a couple more manicures with them. They are small in size, but I have short nails so they worked great for me. They come 50 to a pack.
The studs were super easy to remove and I was actually able to keep some of them to reuse! I don't know if they were designed to be reused or not, but if you want to take the time to pick them off the cotton ball you can reuse them and you can't even tell that they had been used before.
Studs can be purchased for $4.23 a pack. They have a wide variety of studs and nail decorations to choose from.
Now on to the manicure I used Maybelline Color Show in Amethyst Ablaze and sealed everything in with a top coat from NYC.
