Haul: Ulta

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings | Gifted

A few weeks ago hubby and I were planning a day trip to a city that also happened to have my nearest Ulta (which really is not near) so I went online to look at the weekly ad and made a list of items I wanted to get, well when I got there I could not find anything that I had on my list! Actually I was quite disappointed with my experience, a lot of the shelves were hardly even stocked with product and there was no one around to ask for help locating items. When I don't want to be bothered in a store there are all kinds of sales people coming up and asking if I need help, but the one time I really wanted some help there was no one.

Anywho, I just decided I would make an online purchase, I was able to find everything that I had on my list plus one extra item! A few of the items I ordered were on sale, plus I had a $3.50 off coupon! I will more than likely do a review on each of the products I purchased.

The first thing I got was the Eclos

Review: Eclos Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings | Gifted

Last summer I received some Eclos products as a Perk from Klout and today I will be sharing my thoughts on the Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream.

Eclos claims that the Regenerative Cream will:

  • Hydrate: hydration replenishes dry, dulling skin suffering from signs of aging. Smooths away fine lines for a more even and brighter surface.
  • Renew: Formulated with apple stem cells, powerful extracts and antioxidants, the technology awakens dormant skin cells, encouraging skin's self-renewal process to delay the signs of aging and promote a smooth and toned surface.
  • Strengthen: Phyto extracts and antioxidants boost collagen for noticeable tightening and firming.
Clinically proven to reduce wrinkles and improve skins texture in 2 weeks.

This cream is described on the box as a medium weight moisturizer, and I agree with that 100%, not light and not super heavy. With that being said I still found that this moisturizer was too heavy for me during the warmer months, but I absolutely love using it during the colder months. It has the same scent as the cleanser, a soapy, light fragrance, just very clean smelling.

I have been using the Regenerative cream all winter long and I really like the results that it has given me. A little bit of this cream goes a long way, in my opinion. This cream absorbs in to the skin fairly quickly and leaves my skin feeling smooth, fresh and hydrated, with out making my skin feel greasy afterwards.

Does Eclos Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream live up to it's claims? I think it does, my face feels, as I mentioned above, smoother and more hydrated and it even looks brighter. I can not say if it does anything for wrinkles, but my skin does feel a bit firmer.

The only things that I do not like about this cream is there is no SPF protection and the price. Although since this cream does seem to last for a while, I might be willing to buy it if it was on sale.

Overall I really like the Eclos products that I have tried thus far. To see my review on the Anti-Aging Facial Cleanser Skin Prep click here

To see the full line of Eclos products head over to Freeman Beauty. Eclos can also be found at Ulta both online and in-store. The Regenerative Cream retails for $24.99 at both places and you get 2 fl. oz of product.

Have you heard of Eclos products before? Have you or would you try them?

Favorites: February 2014

January and February down, bring on March and Spring! Seriously though where did the first two months of 2014 go?

Today I have my favorite products of February to share with you guys.

Up first are some hair prodcuts that I received from BzzAgent and have been testing out. It's the Neutrogena Triple Repair shampoo, conditioner and a leave-in treatment. Not going to go into much detail because I plan to do a full review of them. In short, I like them.

I have been loving my Eclos Moisture therapy Regenerative Cream during the cold months. This moisturizer is too thick for me to use during the summer, but it's perfec

Favorites & Empties: January 2014

Happy Friday! I'm combining my favorites and my empties this month, because I only finished two products. So let's get right to it.

Both of the products that I finished up this month were hairsprays, Vintage Glam Thermal Freeze Spray and Suave Touchable Finish. Suave touchable finish is pretty much my all time favorite hairspray, it is the one that I purchase over and over, and will more than likely continue to. The Vintage Glam was a product that I won from Sally's Beauty back in September last year. I have a love hate relationship with this hair spray. I love it because it holds my style, but leaves my hair feeling touchably soft. I also love that it comes out in a fine mist, but that also leads to why I hate it, the spray lingers in the air for a very long time. First time I used it I sprayed my hair went off to do some other things came back about 10-15 minutes later and you could still see the spray just hanging in the air. Probably not a product that I would repurchase solely based on it's price, $8.49 Just can't see paying that when I can get my Suave for $2.97

Now on to the good stuff, my favorites from January!

Review: Eclos Apple Stem Cell Skin Care Skin Prep Cleanser

*I received the following product from Klout as a Perk*

Eclos Apple Stem Cell skin prep cleanser is formulated with apple stem cell technology extracted from a rare Swiss apple, the stem cells help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve skin texture. It's Ph balanced formula contains chamomile to help revitalize and hydrate skin and cucumber to sooth skin stress, antioxidants to help with tone and to revitalize for fresh and super clean skin. Eclos is free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, mineral oils and petroleum. It is clinically proven to reduce wrinkles and improve skin texture in 2 weeks, lifts makeup and pore clogging debris with out over-drying skin. Suitable to use morning and night.

I have been using this for probably close to 2 months and I'm really loving it. I think it does a great job of cleansing my skin, sometimes I do have to use a separate eye makeup remover to get all my mascara and eyeliner off. I really like how gentle this is on my skin, leaves it feeling clean and soft without over-drying it. Since I've been using this I feel like the condition of my skin has improved; it's softer feeling and my tone looks so much more even now. I can not attest to the anti-aging claims, thankfully I'm not having any of those issues with my skin currently.

It does have a light fragrance, to me it just smells like soap, not perfumey (is that even a word LOL). I personally like the fragrance of it, it smells really clean and fresh.

The skin prep cleanser is just one product from Eclos' anti-aging line. I also received with the cleanser a primer and a moisturizer, which I will be reviewing later on.

Eclos is a part of Freeman Beauty and can be found on their website or at Ulta. The cleanser comes in a 6.8fl oz pump bottle for $14.99

Quality: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Packaging: 5/5
Formula: 5/5
Scent: 5/5
Overall: 22/25

Have you used any of the Eclos products? What did you think about them?

September Favorties & Empties

Where did September go? I don't know either, but I do like the month of October because it's my Birthday month :)

I wanted to share my Favorites and my Empties from September with you today, I just have a handful of each.

First up is Avon's reformulated eye shadow quad in Stone Taupes. I liked Avon's eye shadows before they reformulated them, but these are just awesome. They feel very velvety, reminds me of the NYX shadows, I think the pigmentation is also better, but I still suggest using a primer.

Up next we have one of my new favorites, Perlier Volcanic Scrub. I got this from iFabbo and I really like it. I have a full review up here if you are interested.

Found a new favorite mascara this month, The Rocket by Maybelline. I still like the One by One Volume Express, but this is a close second to that.

My new favorite fragrance is Coconut Water from Bath & Body Works, really wish I had picked up another one of these.

Eclos facial cleanser is a product I received as a Klout Perk. I really like it, gets all the make up off my face and does not leave it feeling dry. I have also seen an improvement in the texture of my skin since using this.

Last but not least Dove go sleeveless deodorant. I had seen this product advertised a lot and how it claims it will "replenish delicate underarm skin—leaving it softer, smoother and ready to reveal in just five days" and I must say it's claims are true. Wish I had tried this a long time ago. I got soothing chamomile, but next time I think I will try a different scent.

Since I only had three empties this month I thought I would just add them in with my favorites.

I used up all my Cynthia Rowley Band-Aids that I got in a Birchbox forever and a day ago. Cute bandaids, but not worth the price.

I also finished up my got2be Smooth Operator Smoothing Luster Lotion. I really like this stuff for taming fly-aways when I flat iron my hair, already repurchased.

My poor little Maybelline One by One Volume Express, I used it as long as I could, honestly it should have probably been thrown out months ago, but I just couldn't let it go. I would repurchase this.

What have been your favorites during the month of September? What products did you finish up?

I Got Perk'd: Eclos

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose
I logged in to my Klout account a couple of weeks ago and seen I had an exciting perk offer for Eclos dare to go bare kit. The kit came with a skin prep cleanser, moisture therapy regenerative cream and a daily hydraprimer with SPF 30.

I am super excited to try out these products, it says they are formulated with Apple Stem Cell Technology! I think I will do the Dare to go Bare challenge as well. It will be a couple of weeks before I will get to test out these products, as I am currently testing out another moisturizer. When I do start testing them out I will do a before and after and take you along my Dare to go Bare journey!

Did you get this perk from Klout? Are you taking the Dare to go Bare challenge?
