Review: Avon Gel Finish Polish

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings

Avon seems to be keeping up with the current trends in nail polish here lately and they have came out with a Gel Finish nail polish. Avon's Gel Finish Polish claims to have 7 benefits in 1 with the benefits being; shine, gel like finish, vivid color, base coat, top coat, protection and strengthener. It does not contain formaldehyde, tolune or DBP and can be removed with regular nail polish remover.

Gel Finish comes in 12 shades and I chose Glimmer, a beautiful nude color with very fine but plentyful, flakes of gold shimmer. I got three full days of wear out of this polish before I began to see some tip wear and a couple minor chips, you really had to be looking closely at my nails to see the chips or tip wear. Even though it says two of the benefits are base and top coat, I went ahead and applied both. I would have probably skipped the top coat if the finish of the gel polish had been more shiny. I did noticed while I was wearing the polish my nails did feel a litter bit stronger. I think the color payoff of Glimmer is fantastic, I only needed 2 coats for my desired nail look. If you wanted a lighter nail look I think you get by with just one coat. Application of this polish was very smooth, no dragging or baling of the polish. Drying time was pretty awesome too, only about 5 minutes or so.

Avon Gel Finish polish comes in 12 shades as I mentioned above and cost $7.00 for .4fl oz of product..

Application: 5/5
Drying time: 5/5

  1. Pretty. :) I don't usually wear my polish that long so the gel thing is wearing a bit thin for me, but pretty polish is pretty polish. lol
