OPI In the Cable Car-Pool Lane & Stamping

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings | Gifted

A few weeks ago I received a stamper and scrapper set from Born Pretty Store and I was excited when I received it cause it's one of those squishy marshmallowy kinds, I have been nothing but disappointed with it. I first tried using it as soon as I got it and could not get it to work right, I tried different polishes, different plates with no better luck. I seen on Instagram another lady had one of these exact same stampers, so I asked her about it, she said I needed to 'prime' it. I headed to Google to see how to do that and found some tutorials and did what it said to do. The first time I attempted to use it after I primed it, it worked great, the next time I go to try and use it, it would not work for me. So I give up if anyone has any tips on how to make this stamper work please leave them in the comments, I would be ever so grateful!

In any case I did finish out my mani using my other stamper on all my fingers with the exception of my little finger. I used OPI's In the Cable Car-Pool Lane and stamped it with Metallic Yellow from KleanColor. The plate I used was the Kaleidoscope Designs Plate from Born Pretty Store that I reviewed earlier this month. I LOVE this plate, it is one that you should add to your collection!

On a better note, I get to start computer shopping very soon, so hopefully I will be able to find one that I like and will be able to get back to reading everyone's blogs and back blogging on a regular basis! If any one has any good computer suggestions leave them in the comments :) I think I've settle on an All-in-One, I just don't know which one LOL

Hope you all enjoy your weekend and stay safe and warm, we are looking at another round of snow or ice tomorrow :(

Haul: TJ Maxx, Ross & Big Lots

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings | Gifted

As of late I have been obsessed with Big Lots and TJ Maxx for finding beauty products, especially nail polishes, at discounted prices! Last week hubby and I ventured out on a little shopping trip and the town that we went to not only had those two stores, but they also had a Ross, I was able to find some pretty good deals.

From TJ Maxx I stumbled upon a duo of Orly polishes, Fabulous Flamingo and Ancient Jade, for $6.99! That's like paying $3.50 for each polish, not too bad considering they are priced at $8 for a full size bottle and $3.99 for a mini bottle at Ulta.

I also came across some mini OPI Sets

OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-Go? and Avon Red Lava

Today I have quick post on a fun nail look using some polishes with fun names! For my base color I used Where Did Suzi's Man-Go? from OPI's 2014 Brazil Collection. It is a gorgeous peachy orange creme, perfect for this summer! I needed two good coats of this to make it opaque, the first coat was a little streaky.

After I applied Where Did Suzi's Man-Go? I topped it off with Avon's Mosaic Effects in Red Lava, a red glitter crackle polish!

I really loved this manicure, I wore it for several days before I finally took it off :)

Try it on Tuesday

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings

Today I have another Katy Perry polish from OPI, The One That Got Away. It's another one of those colors that my camera loves to hate, a gorgeous fuchsia type color that is so bright and sparkly, right up my alley! Application was great, there was no balding of the polish and it did not pool up around my nails. In the swatch I have used 2 coats and tried my best to get my camera to get an accurate color :)

Try it on Tuesday: OPI Not Like the Movies

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings

I hope I will not be stepping on anyone's toes by doing a Try it on Tuesday, as I know a lot of nail bloggers have TIOT. I have around 85 untried polishes in my collection and I thought this would be the perfect way to get them all tried out! With that said lets get in to the first TIOT!

Last week I went in to a TJ Maxx for the first time and ran across a couple of OPI Polishes from the Katy Perry Collection packaged together for $7.99, could not pass that up! One of the colors the pack contained was Not Like the Movies. NLTM is a beautiful silver/grey duo chrome with tiny flecks of silver shimmer. When I first got it home and swatched it I thought this looks a lot like Grey's Anatomy from Wet n Wild, so I went and grabbed that from my stash and swatched it beside NLTM, not a dupe at all, not even close LOL

I really like Not Like the Movies, application and dry time were great. The duo chrome was beautiful and the little flecks of silver just set the polish off. I do wish I had applied 3 coats instead of 2 because my nail line was still visible.

Next Tuesday I will be back with the other polish that came in this set!

Review/Swatch: OPI Bubble Bath

Today I wanted to share with you another nail polish. This one is Bubble Bath by OPI. This was a product that I won in a giveaway.

This is my very first OPI nail polish and I'm impressed with it. It's a beautiful pinky nude color. Since this is a very light color it tends to be sheer. I think I  used 2 coats, I can't remember it's been a couple of weeks since I used it. Anywho, I think this polish is great if you are looking for a barley there or natural looking manicure. I also think it would be a great polish to use for a french manicure.

I wanted to bling it up a little bit so I topped it off with Essie's As Gold as it Gets.

For this polish I'm giving it an application rating of 5/5, goes on super smooth, no streaks.

For pigmentation I'm going to give it a 3/5, I know this is a light color, but I wish it went on as 'dark' as it looks in the bottle. I guess if I added an extra coat it might have.

For quality I'm giving it a 5/5, Great formula.
For price it gets 2/5 only because I'm cheap LOL.
As far as longevity of the polish, as I've said before I don't usually leave my polish on more than a few days and my chipping peeling nails don't help much in testing the longevity :)

Overall: 15/20
