OPI In the Cable Car-Pool Lane & Stamping

Sponsored | Bought Myself | Press Sample | Nothing to Disclose | Giveaway Winnings | Gifted

A few weeks ago I received a stamper and scrapper set from Born Pretty Store and I was excited when I received it cause it's one of those squishy marshmallowy kinds, I have been nothing but disappointed with it. I first tried using it as soon as I got it and could not get it to work right, I tried different polishes, different plates with no better luck. I seen on Instagram another lady had one of these exact same stampers, so I asked her about it, she said I needed to 'prime' it. I headed to Google to see how to do that and found some tutorials and did what it said to do. The first time I attempted to use it after I primed it, it worked great, the next time I go to try and use it, it would not work for me. So I give up if anyone has any tips on how to make this stamper work please leave them in the comments, I would be ever so grateful!

In any case I did finish out my mani using my other stamper on all my fingers with the exception of my little finger. I used OPI's In the Cable Car-Pool Lane and stamped it with Metallic Yellow from KleanColor. The plate I used was the Kaleidoscope Designs Plate from Born Pretty Store that I reviewed earlier this month. I LOVE this plate, it is one that you should add to your collection!

On a better note, I get to start computer shopping very soon, so hopefully I will be able to find one that I like and will be able to get back to reading everyone's blogs and back blogging on a regular basis! If any one has any good computer suggestions leave them in the comments :) I think I've settle on an All-in-One, I just don't know which one LOL

Hope you all enjoy your weekend and stay safe and warm, we are looking at another round of snow or ice tomorrow :(

    1. Yay! So excited LOL. After posting this I seen an article about using pure acetone on them, I thought that was bad for them, but guess I'll give it a try.

  2. I'm still using my trusty Konad for just about everything I stamp so I can't help at all :(
Do you already have a wishlist on what you want your new computer to be like? Getting a new computer is a loooooong story in my household. I usually start by writing down what I want to do with it (do I want to use memory hungry software like Photoshop, do I want to be able to play the latest games with cutting edge graphics, etc.). With that list I go to a few stores to ask what configuration would be compatible with my wishlist. When I have the specifications of the computers each store wants to sell me, I compare them to see if there are things all or most of them agree on and I check online what hardware they recommend (Tom's Hardware is a really good site for that) and in the end I decide what I want to have and order that from a store that I trust :)

    1. I did in fact make a list of things I either wanted in/on the computer and things I wanted it to be able to do. I also talked with a friend who is computer savvy. I've got my choices narrowed down to 2, so I'm gonna check out Toms Hardware for extra info on each. Thank you for the website, I am so indecisive when it comes to purchasing electronics, I always want to be sure I research every option and get the best deal ;)

    2. I just thought of one more thing... Do NOT check reviews for hardware the first six months after you've bought your computer. I did that once and I was so angry with myself for not waiting another day/week/month because something got replaced by a newer, better, shinier version and my picks were lowered in price. Now if I buy something, I research first, pick something I think I'll be happy with and just try to accept that there will always be a newer version and my pick will probably go on sale in the near future :S (and I also tell myself I chose it because it was the best option at the time and if I hadn't bought it when I did, I would still be working on a crappy replacement... doesn't always work though ;)

    3. I did purchase one a couple weeks ago, and what time I got to use it before I went out of town, I really like it. I'm like you, I have accepted the fact that as soon as I buy an electronic item they will come out with something new LOL
