Shop My Stash: #1

Since I have more makeup than I really need and because I really need to save some money, I have decided to shop my stash instead of doing actual shopping! Each Sunday I will be shopping my stash for a few products that I have not used in a while, or just some that I want to use up. I will be incorporating them in to my daily routine during the week. If I use products that I have not used in a while, on the following Tuesday, I will do a Try It Again post and let you know if I will be tossing or keeping the products. I will also be including samples in my shop my stash posts. I am the worlds worst to get samples, toss them aside and forget about them. I will probably also be including hair products, lotions and fragrances.

For this week I shopped my stash for the following products:

A sample of Pixi flawless beauty primer, WEI to go Beauty sample of gelled oil cleanser and ideal skin perfect finish, Avon Smooth Minerals lip gloss, Milani eye tech extreme eye liner, ELF cream eye shadow duo in Mocha Swirl and the powered version of the same shade.

Target Beauty Bag: Fall 2012

I was excited to see that my Fall Target beauty bag was in my mailbox, but when I opened it I wasn't so excited anymore. I love the bag! It feels kind of like plastic and rubber and is textured to look like fur. That's pretty much where the excitement stopped for me. Inside the bag were the following samples: Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer, Clear scalp and hair therapy shampoo and conditioner, Fekkai shea butter moisturizing shampoo and conditoner, Jergens Daily moisture lotion and Loreal EverCreme sulfate-free moisture system shampoo, conditioner and deep nourishing masque. There was also the coupon book that comes with all the beauty bags.

I heard that this would be the last Beauty Bag from Target, so I guess I thought they would go out with a bang, so to speak, and fill it with something better.

August Birchbox with Hits and Misses

Wow! I'm really late with getting this post up. Wanted to share with you the items that I got in my August Birchbox. I was quite pleased with this box. I have got good use out of 2 of the products and the others were mostly misses for me.

First thing out of my box that I have got a lot of use out of is the Miss Jessie's Original Stretch Silkening Creme. This curl-enhancing cream stretches out each follicle for looser curls while adding volume and shine. Hydrolyzed wheat proteins and wheat amino acids fortify hair, while a team of moisturizing oils including coconut, jojoba, avocado, and olive add silkiness and softness. I don't know if this product really helps out with my curls, but I love to use it when I pull my hair back in a pony tail to smooth out all the little short hairs that like to
