Happy Wednesday and welcome to another installment of the Mish Mash Challenge! This week our theme was Faux Stone, so I headed over to Google to search out some stones. I decided to try and do Turquoise one because I seen a really cool tutorial on it and two because it is one of my favorite stones!
I started out with 2 coats of Wet n Wild's I need a Refresh-Mint, then I used a black cream to do a Water Spotting to get the veins of the turquoise and lastly I took Milani's Signature Gold on some plastic wrap and 'sponged' some gold on each of my nails.
My index and middle fingers are my favorite from this mani and my little finger is my least favorite because I got too much black on it. Overall though I really like this mani, it's different from any thing I've done before.
That looks great! I've also seen some cool "turquoise" nails on the web but have never tried them myself. I think you did a good job of mimicking the real stone :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha! It was pretty easy to do :)
DeleteThis is gorgeous! You did such a great job - super creative too!
ReplyDeleteSimply an amazing manicure! A perfect reproduction of Turquoise. I have never tried the water spotted technique, but I should!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic!! Great job!! And I LOVE turquoise!
ReplyDeleteThese look really fabulous! I really like your index!
ReplyDeleteLooks great.. You have me fooled =)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spotted mani! I love this technique, but it is kinda messy...the results are, as in your case, usually worth it, though. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, really beautiful.... I arrived here for a coincidence but I HAVE to stop and tell you that I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Looks just like your bracelet! Great idea to add the sponging.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd there it is! Great minds think alike! My favourite is definitely the middle nail, too! And I love the base colour you used. I thought it was gonna be too light and I chose something else but you prove me wrong!
