July Birchbox

For the month of July Birchbox teamed up with Glamour magazine to make the  senses themed birchbox. Overall I feel like this box will be a good one. The box contained a mini Color Club nail polish in the color Blue-Ming, a full size Skinny liquid eyeliner from Eyeko, a sample of the Harvey Prince fragrance Hello, a very tiny sample of luminizing moisture tint by Jouer, a Larabar, and some ear buds.

I'm really excited about trying out the Eyeko eyeliner and the Jouer tinted moisturizer. And of course I'm very happy about the nail polish!

I'll be trying out these products over the next month and doing reviews on them.

Did you get a Birchbox this month? What did you think about it?

June Birchbox Hits and Misses

June's Birchbox wasn't too bad of a box, most of the items were hits!

So lets just get the misses out of the way first. The $25 off a purchase at Artspace, I'm not an artsy person and usually the only 'art' that gets hung up on my walls are photographs that I take myself. The other miss was the Apothederm Strech mark cream, I didn't try this, but to me it was a miss because it came not even half full.

Now to the hits. I am in love with the Balm cosmetics Stainiac in Beauty Queen! When I first seen that this was a red colored product I thought there was no way I'd be able to wear it, I was wrong! I love to apply this to my lips, let it dry for a few minutes then top it off with either clear gloss or just some lip balm. The color really sheers out once you spread it over your lips. You can also use this product on your cheeks. The only thing I don't like about it, is it's price, a full size is $17.50.

I also really have been loving the BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages by Cynthia Rowley, seriously they are so stylish! The price is super crazy, but they are pretty cool.

The John Varvatos for men fragrance sample I gave to my hubby! It smells super yummy and he liked it too.

The Scalisi Skincare Anti-Aging moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is a really nice moisturizer, it's feels really light but really moisturizing. As far as the Anti-Aging part of it, I don't know how well that works because I feel like you have to use an Anti-Aging product for a while before you see any kind of results.

I have not used the CleanWell individual hand sanitizing wipes, but they are in my purse if I ever need them.

Happy 4th of July

Doing my nails is like a huge hobby for me, so anytime I get to get creative with my nails, I do. So for the 4th I decided to make my nails match the holiday!

I used NYC French White Tip for my base color. It took 2 coats to make this very opaque and non streaky. I then took a sharpened pencil to use as a dotting tool, and dotted Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Cherry Red and a L.A. colors Color Craze Blue Metallic nail color in a diagonal line across my nails. I then used a L.A. Colors Art Deco stripper in Gold Glitter to make a couple lines. I topped that off with my favorite top coat, NYC Grand Central Station.

Did you paint your nails for the 4th?

MIA

I want to apologize for being MIA, this last week or so has just been crazy LOL! I started doing some transcription work at home to make a little extra money, then I pulled a muscle in my back, if you've never had that happen it hurts really, really bad :/ So I have had little time to blog, but I will be back next week with new posts! YAY! Since I'm trying to save up money to go to the beach in September I won't really have any hauls so, I think I will do reviews on some of the products that I have bought lately and possibly some nail tutorials :)

What have you been up to this past week?

Hope you have a great day!
